Here we are in pre-tuning week, as things seemed to be settling in for the long run, but then in came the announced changes! We also recently covered spec popularity in the raid, so if you want to cross-reference their performance with their populations, head on over here. And now let’s take a look where things stand before the big changes coming with this week’s tuning pass.
Note: We are using normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.
Mythic
Overall Damage 95th Percentile
Enhancement is still extremely far ahead of the pack, so we’ll see whether the nerfs manage to bring it down to size, or at least closer to anyone else. Survival’s been busy and moving on up, as it and Frost have a bit of a duel going on! The Hunter and Mage are dead-even for 2nd, but that will change after the tuning as Survival is getting some nerfs. Elemental is extremely close behind, as the second Shaman gains a huge four spots to move into 4th and past Fury. The Rogues are all very neatly gathered right after that, with Outlaw leading the pack and Assassination still in 3rd. Destruction follows up the Rogues in 9th, with Retribution hot on its tail at the end of the top 10. Affliction joins the dregs down at the bottom, joining Fire and Augmentation. Feral and Windwalker are just outside the bottom 3, but is getting some solid buffs with the tuning.
Overall Damage All Percentiles
The top 3 remains the same but we immediately see a ton of chaos after that. Fury bursts in to 4th from 7th, pushing past some Rogues to get there. Subtlety hangs in there but Outlaw falls off dramatically. Frost Mage remains stable in 6th, as Retribution pushes up quite a bit, gaining 3 spots. Destruction is another anchor down in 8th, just ahead of the free-falling Outlaw, while Arms closes out the top 10.
Boss Only Damage All Percentiles
Subtlety is on the rise here, taking 3rd as Arms drops a few spots. Enhancement is also moving up, but not for long considering the tuning. Beast Mastery is holding steady in 5th, and Arcane is also hanging in there a little lower.
Heroic Damage All Percentiles
Heroic is also very steady at the top, with Subtlety making the first move down in 5th, moving past Retribution. Destruction is on the way up as it takes down Fury, and Devastation is still hanging out in the top 10 as well!

Arms bursts its way into 2nd, knocking down Balance which itself pushes past Beast Mastery in the raw damage Hero spec charts.
