War Within Season 1 Mythic+ DPS, Tank, and Healer Log Rankings, Week 7: Tuning Aftermath

Staff's Avatar by Staff

Mythic+ is slower to change as usual. While the raid rankings got thrown into absolute chaos after last week’s big class tuning pass, the dungeon charts are very stable, especially at the top. We’re also taking a look at the tanks and healers again, and as it turns out, a lot has changed! Well, for the tanks mostly. Let’s dive in.

Warcraft Logs Points

The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing. This means that they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor. It is a much, much smaller factor, granting only a few points for significantly faster completions compared to just any in-time finish. We’re also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity. This means that the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.

95th percentile DPS

While Mythic+ is resistant to change, the top dog isn’t really affected by that, nor anything else it seems, as Augmentation is just never going away. Frost DK also holds on to No.2, but we do see a slight change right after that. Assassination takes third, knocking Enhancement down a peg, but the two are ridiculously close, so we might be seeing a reversal next week. Balance is the first big mover, as it used its buffs well, gaining 3 spots in 5th, pushing Unholy down one. Frost Mage benefited from the changes just as much as Balance, moving into 7th. Elemental finds itself down a few spots after the talent bug cleared the system, with Survival snipping at its heels while remaining stable in 9th. The Warlocks are on the rise here as well, but at a much slower pace. Destruction is the big tuning winner, making the very end of the top 10 after a big 7-spot rise. Affliction also gains one, with Retribution now sandwiched between the two purple specs.

Mythic+ is still a very bad place for Hunters, despite Survival’s good performance, as the bottom 3 finds the other two specs joining Devastation.

All Percentiles

We see Assassination rise into 3rd here as well, but Enhancement drops a lot lower, three spots from its No.3. Balance makes the same jump as in the top percentiles, pushing past three specs to get to 4th place. Unholy is the anchor here, protecting its 5th spot, as we see Survival ready to push past Enhancement right under the DK. Elemental also kept its position, but Frost Mage is gunning for it, grabbing Fire’s 9th slot in a 4-spot surge. Retribution closes out the top 10, also remaining steady. Subtlety dips down into the bottom 3, freeing Arms to move a whole spot up!

U.gg Raw DPS Rankings by Hero Talent Tree

Outlaw and Enhancement remain at the top, as u.gg takes the two week average, so is even slower to shift. We do see a big jump from Balance, however, skyrocketing 10 spots into 3rd, landing in an Enhancement sandwich. Unholy is also moving up, just ahead of the third Shaman in the top 10.

Tanks, All Percentiles

There’s been a giant shift in the tank rankings since we last checked in! While the tuning did not affect it, Paladin has moved all the way up from last place into first! It has been a while since we took a look at the tanks, but that’s impressive nonetheless. Warrior is also up, but only one spot, while the actually buffed-in-this-week’s-tuning Blood is down two. Vengeance finds itself in a very unfamiliar last spot.

Healers, All Percentiles

While the tanks showcased why we probably should check in with them more often, the healers are just very much reaffirming our “every few weeks” policy. The top 2 remain absolutely the same, but Mistweaver is doing a lot better, gaining two spots in 3rd. The rest is pretty much the same, with Druid and Holy Priest switching out at the bottom.
