War Within Season 2 Mythic+ DPS, Tank, and Healer Log Rankings, Week 4: Major Class Tuning Aftermath

Staff's Avatar by Staff

There’s plenty of changes in the rankings this week, although not quite as much as the very chaotic raid charts. The big tuning pass affected many specs, and we have a new No.1, but it’s all very tight at the top still. Marksmanship is the biggest winner of the adjustments, with Rogues taking a hit, so let’s get into it and see all the changes.

Warcraft Logs Points

The below logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing. This means that they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor. It is a much, much smaller factor, however. It grants only a few points for significantly faster completions compared to just any in-time finish. We’re also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity. This means that the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.

95th percentile DPS

Unholy takes over after Fire’s nerf, and Balance is positioning itself to knock down the DK soon! The Mage didn’t go far, only dropping two spots, and right behind it we see Assassination take down Elemental for 4th. Enhancement rises two spots as the other Rogues fall, Outlaw just one spot, and Subtlety three. Marksmanship breaks into the top 10, gaining a huge eight spots in 9th. Demonology closes out the top 10, rising three spots. Unlike in the raid, Survival drops lower down and into the bottom 3, joining Augmentation and Arcane, as the Mage’s 8% buff didn’t help it out yet, as most players probably aren’t touching the spec still.

All Percentiles

We see an identical top 5 as in the top percentiles, but Marksmanship rises up even higher here, taking 6th and gaining even more spots, 11 to be exact, as it was down even lower the week before! The Shamans gather up, as Enhancement drops two spots while Elemental remains stable in 8th. Demonology also doesn’t move, but we do see Retribution climb quite a bit, gaining three spots to close out the top 10. Destruction finds itself almost at the very bottom, breaking the double-Mage combo and releasing Arcane from the bottom 3.

Specific Keys

Balance has very much taken over as the higher key dominant spec, with Havoc doing very well before we get into the really high ones.

Tanks

We see absolutely no changes for the tanks after the tuning, with the gap between Vengeance and the rest just slightly narrowing after it’s nerf.

Healers

We do see some changes for the healers, with Mistweaver losing 2nd to Resto Shaman after the former’s nerfs and the latter’s buffs. Holy Paladin takes down Preservation, as they both also received some tuning.
