Blizzard’s 30th anniversary celebrations for Warcraft are in full swing, with events planned worldwide. However, the London event, scheduled for February 22, faced ticketing chaos as people struggled to secure tickets. The second wave of tickets went live today at 3:00 PM GPT, only to vanish in seconds.

Instant Sellout Sparks Concerns

Reddit user Arthodel shared their experience, refreshing the webpage right at 3:00 PM. Despite clicking “Add to Cart” immediately, their checkout attempt failed as tickets were already gone. “The venue is quite small, but surely that can’t be human customers checking out within seconds,” they commented.

Another player, Conscious_Rice6521, managed to add two tickets to their cart, only for them to disappear before checkout. Others in the discussion thread shared similar experience.

Bot Activity Suspected?

Some speculated that automated bots may have contributed to the rapid sellout. Reddit user ArthasMenethilNjoyer refreshed the age at 2:59 PM and saw no purchase option. When they attempted to purchase at exactly 3:00 PM, the system gave an immediate “sold out” error. “Fifteen seconds or under to sell all doesn’t seem real. Will we see them on third-party sites?” they questioned.

Although the tickets were free, they sold out within seconds, leaving many questioning Blizzard’s distribution process via tixr. Plenty of fans would have gladly paid for a chance to attend.
