Blizzard has updated the World of Warcraft roadmap for 2025 with a new icon that now clearly indicates the player housing feature. Curiously, this icon appears to be covering part of a map, sparking another round of speculation within the community!
Before the update, there was uncertainty about whether the icon referred to player housing or the potential Warlords of Draenor Remix. However, dataminer Keyboardturn took a closer look and speculated that the rune was covering up the map of what could be Northrend and Broken Isles!
What Could This Mean for Player Housing?
The placement of the icon could be deliberate, hinting that player housing may be tied to Northrend or even multiple locations. With the upcoming Midnight expansion, Blizzard might be preparing housing areas tied to major zones, possibly even Northrend, as we’ll revisit it in The Last Titan.
Could we see unique housing areas for each expansion, or perhaps customizable hubs across Azeroth?
For now, all we can do is speculate, but this might be Blizzard’s way of teasing where our homes will be!
