World First Mythic Tindral Sageswift Solo

After doing nothing but Mythic Tindral for 12 hours a day and racking up hundreds of attempts, TheDruidMan has finally soloed the boss in Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope raid!

The Core Setup

  • This strategy is only viable on a Protection Paladin.
  • An Item Level 636 shield is mandatory. This shield provides increased block value, which is crucial to mitigating incoming damage. This mechanic, originating from Classic WoW, caps at 85%, but the player managed to reach 74%, which was sufficient for Season 1.
  • TheDruidMan prioritized all talents that increase block chance, which allowed the soloer to sustain himself for 10 minutes without attacking the boss, waiting for flaming trees to despawn.

Surviving the 10-Minute Wait

To survive the boss’s enrage phase at 8:49, TheDruidMan relied on Word of Glory iconWord of Glory. Each use of WoG further increased his block chance, helping him withstand the Supernova ticks.

The Skarmorak Shard iconSkarmorak Shard trinket was essential during the waiting period on platform 2, as it granted a massive Mastery boost without needing to attack the boss, ensuring he could sustain the Mana pool effectively.

Engaging the Boss

Once the boss was engaged, the fight became significantly easier with proper gear and trinket synergy.

  • Foul Behemoth's Chelicera iconFoul Behemoth’s Chelicera (Item Level 619) provided a big HP boost. By fully healing himself and using Divine Shield iconDivine Shield, any healing from this trinket counted as overhealing, maximizing the health pool to 14-15 million over the 40-minute fight.
  • The initial plan was to abuse a target dummy on Tindral’s platform to stack HP to over 100 million, but that did not work, as dropping combat was unavoidable.

Avoiding Rubberbanding

One of the biggest hurdles during the fight was avoiding the automatic teleport (rubberbanding) mechanic.

  1. After Tindral takes off at Platform 1, TheDruidMan used the feather to mount up via Skyriding. Flying in circles until Tindral landed and triggered his first Supernova. By landing without dismounting, the game considered the player in pursuit, preventing the teleport.
  2. No additional rubberband avoidance was needed on Platform 2 once Tindral moved to Platform 3.

The Critical Timining

To execute this strategy successfully, the transition timing is crucial:

  • From 8:49, you must wait until 18:49 before taking the portal to Platform 3.
  • Moving too early will result in encountering over 100 flaming trees, leading to an instant wipe and extreme FPS drops.

Gear Optimization

For this strategy, TheDruidMan had to recraft his gear with a focus on Versatility and Mastery, avoiding Haste completely. The original plan was to have 0% Haste, even at the cost of breaking the tier set, but fortunately, the existing setup worked perfectly.
