World of Warcraft Players Want Valorstones Removed: Frustration Grows Over Restrictive Currency System

Staff's Avatar by Staff

World of Warcraft players are voicing their frustrations with Valorstones, a currency used for upgrading gear. Many feel that the currency is too limiting and lacks proper utility.

One major issue is the cap of 2,000 Valorstones. Once players hit this limit, any additional Valorstones they earn go to waste. This leaves characters with no way to use the excess currency for meaningful upgrades. On the other hand, players upgrading new gear often struggle to gather enough Valorstones because activities only reward 20-30 per completion.

Another complaint is that Valorstones are not account-bound. Players cannot transfer them to alts, which makes progression inefficient for those managing multiple characters. To address these problems, the community has suggested several solutions. These include making Valorstones transferable between characters, raising the cap, or removing the currency entirely.

A popular suggestion is to streamline the gear upgrading system by removing Valorstones and relying solely on crests, which already play a role in upgrades. Such a move would simplify progression and reduce the annoyance tied to managing Valorstones.
