The War Within Patch 11.1.5 Guide (Features and Content Overview)

Patch 11.1.5 (Nightfall) releases on April 22 in North America and on April 23 in Europe.

Even though the patch arrives in April, many features will become available in May 2025, or later. Here is the exact unlock schedule for all the patch features:

• April 22: Nightfall Scenario, Cooldown Manager, Winds of Mysterious Fortune event
• May 20: Horrific Visions Revisited
• June 3: Dastardly Duos

Patch 11.1.5 brings the following new features:

• Cooldown Manager: A new UI feature that allows class ability cooldown tracking.
• Winds of Mysterious Fortune Event: A new buff that increases Experience buffs by 20%.
• Flames Radiance Renown; Grind 10 levels with a new faction to unlock rewards.
• Puzzling Cartel Chips: A new dinar currency available in Season 2 lets you buy specific Liberation of Undermine gear pieces.
• Horrific Visions Revisited: Score Her-track gear and witness the nightmare of the Old Gods again!
• Dastardly Duos: Team up for a takedown of iconic bosses of the past.
• Account-Wide Shadowlands Factions: Many reputations from the Shadowlands expansion will become account-wide.

A new built-in tracker that lets you track your class cooldowns.

From April 22 through May 20, 2025, players can utilize the Winds of Mysterious Fortune 20% XP buff to level their alts from 10-79. The buff also provides increased Renown gains for Dragonflight zones, and more.

Players will fight alongside Flame's Radiance, a new Renown faction to defent the Arathi against the Sureki forces following the defeat of Queen Ansurek.

This is a new zone activity and scenario located in Hallowfall.

Puzzling Cartel Chips, also known as dinars, are a special currency introduced in Patch 11.1.5 that allows players to purchase specific Liberation of Undermine raid gear directly from a vendor. Horrific Visions from Battle for Azeroth return in their full glory with new rewards, masks, and Hero-track gear!

Later in the patch, a new six-week event called Dastardly Duos will become available. The event revolves around defeating as many dungeon bosses before the timer expires. You can earn gear, cosmetics, and even a mount from it!
