Best Gems, Enchants, Food, and Flasks for Preservation Evoker in Midnight
This section specifically covers the optimal gems, enchants, food, and flasks to use for your character. To get a more detailed rundown of the different stats for Preservation Evoker, please visit our dedicated Stats page.
Best Gems for Preservation Evoker
We highly recommend using QuestionablyEpic to sim your character's ideal gems and enchants, as they might differ from our general recommendations.
The best stat for Raiding Preservation Evokers is Mastery, so that is what we will be gemming for.
You should use
Indecipherable Eversong Diamond in one socket. Since this bonus
is not increased by unique gem colors, you can stack your gear with
Flawless Quick Amethyst
or any other high Mastery statted gem. As always consult with
QuestionablyEpic.
The best stats for Mythic+ Preservation Evokers depend on whether you are optimizing for damage or healing. Given that healing keys can be difficult early on, we will start with recommending Mastery-focused gems to increase your output. As you get comfortable and increase gear you can opt for Crit/Haste gems if you want to truly minmax your damage.
You should use

Best Consumables for Preservation Evoker
Consumables such as Flasks, Food, Potions, even Oils can increase your power by a noticeable margin and are worth utilizing anytime you are doing challenging content. If gold isn't a concern, you can choose to always use them!
Flasks
Flask of the Magisters will be your go-to choice for maximizing
your healing output. In situations like Mythic+, where you do not need extra
healing, you can instead choose to run
Flask of the Blood Knights or
Flask of the Shattered Sun.
Potions
There are quite a few potions that are worth considering in Midnight.
Light's Potential,
Potion of Devoured Dreams, and
Lightfused Mana Potion. In Mythic+ settings you
should be exclusively using
Light's Potential to increase your damage and healing output
given that you can always drink inbetween pulls to restore your mana. In raid your choice will
come down to whether or not you need the mana.
Potion of Devoured Dreams will provide you
with the most mana return, but it will require you to not sleep or cast for 10 seconds. This will
be the preferred choice but it is not always possible to use safely, and in those situations
you should use
Lightfused Mana Potion.
Make sure to always keep
Silvermoon Health Potions on you at all times. These potions
do not share a cooldown with combat/mana potions meaning that you can use them whenever you are
in need of emergency healing to yourself.
The best Weapon Oil for Preservation Evoker will be
Thalassian Phoenix Oil.
The secondary stat boosts provides a nice bonus in every form of content and the alternative
Oil of Dawn is not strong enough to ever be worth using.
Food
You should be eating
Silvermoon Parade/
Harandar Celebration at
all times in order to gain extra primary stat. If you do not have
access to this feast, then you can instead choose to eat
Royal Roast.
