Protection Warrior PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — The War Within (11.2.7)

The stat priority for Protection Warriors in PvP is as follows:

1. Strength
2. Versatility
3. Haste = Mastery = Critical Strike

Your gear goal should be to be fully equipped in Conquest gear and this patch's tier set Warrior Protection 11.1 Class Set 2pc and Warrior Protection 11.1 Class Set 4pc. Eventually, when it reaches towards the maximum item level, you will want to use Reshii Wraps instead of a conquest piece. You should also be crafting 2 items with embellishments, as described below.

You can craft up to 2 pieces of embellishment gear, that give a minor boost to performance. In general, these power increases are small for Warrior, so they do not matter all that much. You should be looking to craft two rings with Elemental Focusing Lens.

Note: It is important to wear two PvP trinkets. This will give you a boost to your primary stat and Stamina.

Astral Gladiator's Medallion is a mandatory trinket to have equipped at all times. Even Human players will want to pick up this item.

Astral Gladiator's Insignia of Alacrity is the highest sustained damage increase trinket.

Astral Gladiator's Badge of Ferocity gives you Critical Strike and provides a large increase to Strength. Works good when you wish to build for controlled burst.

• Chest: Enchant Chest - Oathsworn's Strength
• Legs: Stormbound Armor Kit
• Rings: Enchant Ring - Radiant Mastery
• Feet: Enchant Boots - Scout's March
• Wrist: Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Speed
• Weapon Enchant: Enchant Weapon - Authority of Radiant Power

The War Within has introduced Bloodstone Gems for PvP. You should pick Enduring Bloodstone. For secondary stats use Masterful Sapphire.
