Strategy Guide: Full Guide
1.3.
Main Phase:
- Every tier needs a mechanically light patchwerk encounter with a DPS check and this is that boss! There are 3 main mechanics and an intermission.
- Shortly after you pull the boss, half of the raid will get the Overheated debuff. These players should spread out, and all players who did not get it should run to the boss and soak Brand of Damnation with the tank.
- Brand of Damnation will be applied to the active tank and applies a large circle around the tank. This damage is split with all players in the circle.
- If less than 4 players are hit, Smolderon will gain a stack of Heating Up, which will reduce the number of intermissions you can enter by 1.
- Players hit by Brand of Damnation will have two debuffs applied to them:
- Cauterizing Wound, which applies a large heal absorb. When this is healed off it triggers an explosion which deals damage to all players in 6 yards.
- Emberscar's Mark allows players to gain damage buffs in the intermission!
- The players who got Overheated will deal damage to all players within 5 yards for 10 seconds and then explode, dealing additional damage to those players.
- After both of these mechanics have played out, the raid needs to group on Larodar for Lava Geysers to spawn them close together. These will stay in the room permanently.
- The raid then moves around the room and repeats the above mechanics again but with alternate players, so if you got Overheated, you will now soak Brand of Damnation and vice versa.
- Larodar will reach 100 energy after the second set of Lava Geysers, and the intermission will begin.
1.4.
Heroic Changes:
- Brand of Damnation will now apply Searing Aftermath to the tank. This tank needs to run away from the raid as it deals damage to the raid based on their distance.
- Overheated will now shoot Flame Waves across the room, meaning that spreading out with some distance is required.
1.5.
Intermission:
- When the intermission begins Smolderon will gain a stack of Heating Up which increases his damage dealt by 10%.
- If you soaked Brand of Damnation in the previous phase 5 Living Flame orbs will fire from your character.
- Each Living Flame orb increases your damage by 20% and healing by 10%. This buff stacks. If any Living Flame orbs reach Smolderon, he will deal 5% more damage.
- During the intermission World In Flames will fill rings of the room with fire. Avoid these and DPS the boss.
- Smolderon will be dealing ticking damage to the raid with Blazing Soul.
- Smolderon will return back to his main ability cycle.
- You have a maximum of 5 intermissions before Smolderon will cast Encroaching Destruction and wipe the raid.
1.6.
Heroic Changes:
- Your maximum number of intermission is reduced to 3.
- Blazing Soul increases in damage per tick.

Mythic Strategy
Currently, this tab will only contain information on what changes on Mythic. A more robust strategy will be added after the raid goes live.
1.7.
Mythic Changes:
- Three Seeking Inferno orbs will spawn and fixate on players. These players need to run into their orb one at a time. You need to wait 3 seconds before soaking the next orb.
