Renown Guide for the War Within

The Renown reputation system first adopted in Shadowlands, is returning in the War Within expansion with a few key changes.

Renown is account-wide from the beginning, and the level is shared between all members of your Warband, so there is no need for a catch-up system, as was the case during Dragonflight.

Khaz Algar consists of four zones, each home to a different major faction. As you finish the level-up campaign in each zone, you will be introduced to the new Renown factions, one by one.

The War Within Renown is capped at 25 for all factions.

When you reach Level 80, you will unlock World Quests and Events across Khaz Algar that will provide additional Renown when completed.

Click the amber button on your minimap to bring up the Khaz Algar Summary tab.

The Khaz Algar Summary tab offers insight into your reputation standing with the four major Renown factions.

You will find information about all War Within factions in the Reputation tab that you bring up by pressing the "U" key.

As of Patch 11.1.0, there are six major factions.

Gallagio Loyalty Rewards Club is the raid-only Renown for the Liberation of Undermine raid, offering exclusive raid rewards.

In Azj-Kahet, you can increase your reputation standing with three individuals from the Severed Threads factions by completing special assignments. These include: The General, The Vizier, and The Weaver.

You will also increase the level/reputation of Brann Bronzebeard, the Season 1 Delve companion in the War Within.

You need to gather 2,500 reputation per Renown rank to increase your Renown by 1. The Renown cap in the War Within is 25. Renown is shared between all members of your Warband.

Biergoth in Dornogal (46.5, 48.3) has a weekly Renown quest for you that involves a different dungeon every week. To complete it, you must clear the dungeon on any difficulty. Even Follower Dungeons will give credit toward the quest. The quest reward is 1,500 reputation with the faction of your choice. This includes The Cartels of Undermine added in Patch 11.1.0.

During the World Quests Bonus Event, The World Awaits (weekly quest) rewards 1 Renown level with a faction of your choice after completing 10 World Quests in Khaz Algar.

Furthermore, you will gain a small portion of reputation from World Quests and events in specific zones. For example, the Theater Troupe in Isle of Dorn grants reputation with the Council of Dornogal, Awakening the Machine gives you reputation with The Assembly of the Deep, and so forth.
