Tips for Ulgrax the Devourer for Restoration Druid
Defensive Tips
- Use
Barkskin whenever you are targeted by
Digestive Acid.
Cooldown Usage
Flourish ramps for Venomous Lash.
-
Use
Incarnation: Tree of Life on pull to have it back up for the first intermission.
- Save your third Tree of Life for the second intermission. That will mean using it 3 minutes after the previous one.
-
Tranquility should be used between Flourishes in each normal phase to let you pop 2 Flourishes per phase.
-
You can use
Heart of the Wild (if you are specced into it) to regenerate Mana right after the intermission ends, since the boss will be doing basically nothing for 20 to 30 seconds.
Mechanical Tips
- You can shift out of the roots if you accidentally get stuck in a web. Does not work on Mythic difficulty.
- You can drop
Starlight Conduit and pick
Typhoon to help control the adds. If this is not needed, then just keep Starlight Conduit since it will improve your DPS a bit.

Tips for Bloodbound Horror for Restoration Druid
Defensive Tips
- Use
Barkskin after
Goresplatter.
- Use
Renewal to help clear
Crimson Rain.
Cooldown Usage
-
Use
Incarnation: Tree of Life on pull.
-
Use
Flourish on Crimson Rain. This happens every 30 seconds, so you just use Flourish on every second one or so. Pair it with
Incarnation: Tree of Life whenever possible.
-
Use
Tranquility to plug in Crimson Rains that do not have Flourish.
Mechanical Tips
-
Ursol's Vortex can keep any small adds that spawn from the casters from reaching the boss. You can also spec into
Typhoon, but this should not be needed.

Tips for Sikran for Restoration Druid
Defensive Tips
- Use
Renewal when you are overlapping the
Cosmic Simulacrum DoT with any other mechanic.
- If targeted by
Phase Blades, use
Barkskin. You can also use
Bear Form and then drop it immediately.
Ursine Vigor will give you 15% Stamina for 4 seconds even if you are out of Bear Form.
Cooldown Usage
-
Your goal is to do
Flourish for Shattering Sweep casts. Unfortunately they happen about every 1:40 or so.
-
If you use
Tranquility with
Dreamstate immediately after Flourishing the first Shattering Sweep, you can use an additional Flourish before the second Shattering Sweep.
Mechanical Tips
Tiger Dash is an option to use on this boss to position for
Phase Blades and
Decimate.

Tips for Rasha'nan for Restoration Druid
Defensive Tips
- Use
Barkskin for Infested Spawn casts especially if overlapping other mechanics.
Renewal can be used on the
Erosive Spray DoT to help top off.
Cooldown Usage
-
Flourish on
Erosive Spray casts.
-
Use first
Incarnation: Tree of Life on pull. Alternatively, you can play
Convoke the Spirits instead and use it together with
Flourish on every intermission.
-
If you use
Tranquility with
Dreamstate after your second Flourish, you will be able to line up Flourishes for further
Erosive Spray.
Mechanical Tips
Ursol's Vortex can be used to keep the adds in place.
Stampeding Roar can be used when the boss flies away to get your raid over to the boss more quickly.

Tips for Broodtwister Ovi'nax for Restoration Druid
Defensive Tips
- Use
Barkskin as
Experimental Dosage is expiring to keep your health up while the healing absorb is removed.
Cooldown Usage
- The biggest damage happens when the boss moves to the new container. It will be close to on pull and then every 3 minutes or so.
-
You can use
Control of the Dream in a combination with
Convoke the Spirits to get more cooldowns for
Experimental Dosage casts. With this setup you can use
Convoke the Spirits,
Flourish, and
Tranquility on the container, then Convoke and Flourish on the first debuffs and finally Convoke on the third debuffs. Then you rotate cooldowns on the other containers. The only exception will be the third Dosage on the second container, where you will have to skip Convoke.
-
Use
Flourish to cover random damage events roughly every minute to not desync the usage from full energy events.
Mechanical Tips
- This is yet another boss with good
Ursol's Vortex use case. You can drop it to control Blood Parasites.

Tips for Nexus-Princess Ky'veza for Restoration Druid
Defensive Tips
Renewal and
Barkskin should be used liberally to stay healthy as you have less health on this boss than you usually do. There are not many high-damage dangerous hits, but there are a lot of mechanics to dodge, and it is better to be prepared.
Cooldown Usage
-
Use
Flourish on cooldown in Phase 1. Nether Rift casts are 30 seconds apart, so they line up perfectly. Use
Incarnation: Tree of Life on the third Nether Rift cast.
-
Alternative CD usage: Use
Incarnation: Tree of Life on pull, then in the intermissions.
Flourish will be used on the second Rifts and in the intermissions.
Tranquility in this case should be popped on the third rift.
-
If you spec into
Improved Ironbark and
Regenerative Heartwood, you can use
Ironbark on the second
Queensbane and then in the intermission.
Mechanical Tips
- Use
Dash to get your portal out. You can
Wild Charge back.

Tips for The Silken Court for Restoration Druid
Defensive Tips
- Use
Barkskin on any mechanic that does damage. There are too many of them to save it.
- Use
Renewal when you get a DoT and some other mechanic is incoming.
Cooldown Usage
-
Use
Incarnation: Tree of Life for the first Venomous Rain. The HoTs will go into the Burrowed Eruption. Pop
Flourish later for the Eruption.
-
Use your second
Flourish on the next Burrowed Eruption and immediately follow it up with
Tranquility.
-
Further,
Incarnation: Tree of Life and
Flourish will be used basically on cooldown for various mechanics.
Mechanical Tips
- Use
Wild Charge to quickly reposition to your allies. Alternatively, you can spec into
Tiger Dash.

Tips for Queen Ansurek for Restoration Druid
Defensive Tips
- Use
Barkskin for
Frothy Toxin. It does damage upon expiration, but Barkskin will cover the entire DoT duration and explosion both.
- Pop
Renewal if you are low health for the next mechanic. It is especially useful for Phase 2 during dispels. You will want to pop immediately after either dispel or grip, so that you do not die from the following mechanic.
Cooldown Usage
- You can use
Flourish for each
Frothy Toxin, if you either pop the first a bit earlier or use
Tranquility after the second one.
- Use
Ironbark on tanks to help with healing the absorb. When specced into
Regenerative Heartwood, it will do quite a lot of healing.
- Your second
Incarnation: Tree of Life should cover intermission healing.
- Save fourth
Flourish for dispels in the intermission. Start ramping as you run.
- Fifth
Flourish for the second platform as debuffs go out. To achieve this, you will need to use
Tranquility on the first platform for cooldown reduction.
- Phase 3 has too much variance in its duration and rather low damage, so the best idea most of the time will be to fit as many cooldowns as possible.
Mechanical Tips
- Use
Ursol's Vortex on adds in Phase 3 to prevent them from running into the boss.
- Pop
Heart of the Wild, if you are specced into it, in the start of Phase 3 and cast
Wrath. It will regenerate almost full Mana bar.

General Defensive Usage Notes
Restoration Druid has several defensive spells that you should plan to use and rotate
throughout mechanics. You should use Renewal on mechanics that do
mostly ticking damage and
Barkskin for mechanics that do all the
damage in one hit.

Barkskin
General Cooldown Usage
Restoration Druid has a few cooldowns to think about using optimally on the fights in Nerub-ar Palace:
Flourish — Our main, 1-minute cooldown.
Incarnation: Tree of Life — it has a varying cooldown, usually around 2 minutes. It is usually used as a supporting cooldown for Flourish
Tranquility — 3-minute cooldown (most of the time). We generally run
Dreamstate, so Tranquility is often used as a cooldown reduction spell.
In addition to the general rotation, you want to keep in mind that your goal is to use your cooldowns as often as possible during an encounter. With that in mind, your secondary goal is to use them at the correct time.
For a more detailed description of how to properly use cooldowns, make sure to check rotations and spells page:
