Restoration Druid Healing Sepulcher of the First Ones Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Restoration Druid for each boss of the following raid: Sepulcher of the First Ones. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.5.
Introduction
On this page, you will find Restoration-Druid-specific information to deal with each boss in the Sepulcher of the First Ones raid.
This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of each encounter. These can be found on the full raid guide, so what is contained here are details specifically tailored toward Restoration Druid and what you can do to deal with each fight as best as possible.
All advice on this page assumes you have access to the Restoration Druid 4-Piece
set bonus. You are expected to play the Night Fae Covenant with
Dreamweaver Soulbind on all encounters this tier.
During the Dragonflight Pre-Patch, Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, and Sepulcher of the First Ones will be simultaneously featured as Fated Raids. During this time encounters within each specific raid will include an additional mechanic and items will drop at increased item levels. If you would like to learn more general information about the Fated Raids system as a whole, please see our overview below. Otherwise, continue to use this page for specialization-specific tips.
Talent Cheatsheet
We will provide the most commonly used talent build for all bosses. There are
some small changes you can make for certain bosses to grab utility spells, for
example swapping Wild Charge for
Tiger Dash, but your core healing
talents should always remain the same. The same goes for your healing talents in
the class tree, with very few exceptions and those only touching defensive, movement
or damage talents.
You can easily import the talent tree below into the game with the following string:

Vigilant Guardian
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Vigilant Guardian: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Make sure you spot heal players targeted by Searing Ablation. During
Phase 2 make sure you do not spend too much Mana, save around half of it for Phase 3.
Phase 3 is essentially a DPS race with increasing damage taken by the raid. Try
to time your cooldowns so that they cover as low boss Health percent as possible.
This is a good damage profile to use all cooldowns together. Heavily ramp up
with some
Rejuvenations,
Wild Growth, cast
Tranquility,
then immediately do
Convoke the Spirits. In case you proc
Flourish
here, wait with your Flourish cast until the first buff expires.

Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
The basic idea is to ramp your Mana usage as the stacks keep going up towards
the raid soak. Do not waste Mana while the stacks are low. Keep extra attention
on players soaking extra Ephemera Dust stacks. They will be taking
substantially more damage.
The enrage timer is 6 minutes and you will be able to cover all melee players
plus tanks with your Efflorescence so
Spring Blossoms is usually
by far the better choice.

Artificer Xy'Mox
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Artificer Xy'mox: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Each add phase will make more rings spawn, which makes damage overlap with other
mechanics as well as forcing tanks to stand closer to the raid. Make sure you
plan your Mana accordingly and save more toward the end. Use Soulshape
liberally to jump over rings if you are unsure about reaching the portal in time.
The most dangerous raid damage will happen during intermissions. Make sure you know when your raid will push the boss to 75% and 50% Health respectively and plan cooldowns accordingly.

Dausegne, the Fallen Oracle
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Dausegne, the Fallen Oracle: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Save all your cooldowns and most of your Mana for Dausegne draining the pillars.
It happens when she reaches 0 Mana, which makes it fairly easy to track. Use
Soulshape to jump over
Disintegration Halo to avoid taking
damage. Since shields happen exactly every 2 minutes, you should be playing
Inner Peace and using
Tranquility on each one. Make sure your
Convoke the Spirits and
Flourish are also off cooldown for them.

Prototype Pantheon
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Prototype Pantheon: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Dispel Runecarver's Deathtouch once you see players standing inside
wards. Make sure you heal
Withering Seeds to full. You should save a
larger portion of your Mana and cooldowns for Phase 3 when all 4 bosses are present.
Phase 1 requires almost no healing. You should focus on helping with damage and trying to enter Phase 2 with full Mana, all cooldowns ready, and the entire raid at full Health.
Balance Affinity offers an extra 5-yard range to all your
spells which can be extremely helpful due to the size of the room.
On Mythic difficulty you can soak Night Hunter without any help
by just going into
Bear Form when it is about to hit you.

Lihuvim, Principal Architect
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Lihuvim, Principal Architect: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Heal players being targeted by Degeneration adds, and save cooldowns for the
Synthesize cast. It does damage over 15 seconds which is ideal for
Restoration Druids. This happens every 2 minutes, so make sure you are specced
into
Inner Peace.
On Mythic difficulty the first Synthesize happens only 35 seconds into the pull.
To make sure you have your Restoration Druid 4-Piece ready, you have to cast
Swiftmend exactly on pull, then a second one as the cooldown is over.
For more information, please refer to our Lihuvim, Principal Architect guide.
Halondrus the Reclaimer
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Halondrus the Reclaimer: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Inner Peace is a strong option on this fight, both due to knockback
protection and due to lack of stacking for
Spring Blossoms to be good.
Balance Affinity will help with reaching more players. On
Mythic difficulty you might have to play
Guardian Affinity
to be able to knock away Ephemeral Motes in Phase 3 without dying.
Since you are very mobile and tanky, you should be soaking motes. Make sure
you have Barkskin ready if it overlaps with other damage events.
On Mythic difficulty the most damage happens during Reclaim casts
and during intermissions. Try to plan your
Convoke the Spirits and
Flourish
casts around Reclaim since it is by far the deadliest mechanic of the fight.
Try to use both Convoke the Spirits and
Tranquility during
intermissions since none of the other healing specs are able to cast as much or
as freely as Restoration Druids.
In Phase 3 your focus should be on standing 10-15 yards away from the boss and
knocking as many motes as you can without dying. Do not be afraid to go into
Bear Form and use
Frenzied Regeneration. Keep in mind that
Heart of the Wild with
Guardian Affinity gives
you extra Health in Bear Form and a second charge of Frenzied Regeneration.

Anduin Wrynn
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Anduin Wrynn: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Heal Anduin's Hope adds in the Kingsmourne realm. Use most of your cooldowns during
Befouled Barrier. Make sure you pace your Mana, since the fight can
be very long.
On Mythic difficulty, depending on your assignments, you will have to commit
Convoke the Spirits,
Flourish, or both to heal Anduin's Hope adds
inside
Kingsmourne Hungers. You can use
Tranquility on the
first
Befouled Barrier, then have it back for the tail end of each
Intermission.
Guardian Affinity can be useful for setups that do
not have enough AoE interrupts for
Lost Soul adds due to giving you
Incapacitating Roar. In all other situations use
Feral Affinity.

Lords of Dread
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Lords of Dread: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
By far the most damage happens during Swarm casts ( Swarm of Decay
and
Swarm of Darkness). This damage phase lasts 20 seconds and happens
roughly every 2:20-2:30 minutes. As such, you should be using
Inner Peace,
use both
Flourish and
Tranquility there. You should be able to
use
Convoke the Spirits between each Swarm cast, but only if you do it before
Infiltration of Dread.
Keep an eye on players with Cloud of Carrion. Players with high
stacks will be taking significant damage. If they happen to have the debuff during
Swarms, make sure to use
Ironbark on them. It is a good idea to take the
debuff off them at some point during the swarm to avoid almost certain death.

Rygelon
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Rygelon: Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
On Normal and Heroic difficulties by far the most damage will happen during
intermissions. They happen roughly every 1:50 minutes. As such, you should save
your Flourish, but you can use
Convoke the Spirits once between
each intermission. Use
Tranquility in the first and third ones. There
are not any targets to specifically keep an eye on, as the raid damage will be evenly
spread.
On Mythic difficulty, the most dangerous parts of the fight happen during the
Stellar Shroud absorbs cast by Rygelon, which happens 4 times per
phase. Players will explode with
Dark Eclipse expiring and take
damage from soaking
Manifest Cosmos orbs (
Cosmic Ejection
debuff). Particularly dangerous overlaps happen on third and fourth casts of Stellar
Shroud in each phase. Depending on your assignments you should be using
Convoke the Spirits
almost on cooldown
Flourish on every other Convoke. Use
Tranquility
to fill in the gaps.
Pay special attention to players soaking Manifest Cosmos. They
will be taking extremely high damage and will require a lot of healing in a short
period of time.

The Jailer
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Jailer: Vision of Unending Growth.
There are not any real outliers in raid damage. Huge raid hits will happen with great frequency all throughout the fight. There are a few mechanics that you should watch out for nonetheless.
Make sure you spot heal players with the bombs all through Phases 1 and 2. They are not in particularly a lot of danger, but can easily die if they receive no healing at all.
In Phase 1 we recommend using Tranquility on
Suffering.
You can use
Convoke the Spirits and
Flourish liberally on any of
the other mechanics: the tank knockback and
Chain Breaker are good places
for these.
Phase 2 has a lot of instant-damage mechanics which are not ideal for Restoration
Druids. Use your cooldowns whenever possible. Use Ursol's Vortex to help
players affected by
Rune of Compulsion
Phase 3 will require a lot more healing and have your raid move more. Make sure
you save your bigger healing cooldowns for Dominating Will healing.
You can even use all 3 cooldowns just to get this debuff off everyone since it is
extremely dangerous.
