Siege of Boralus Layout
Chopper Redhook + Trash Mobs in the Area
Notable Trash Before Chopper Redhook
- Although Scrimshaw Gutter is a non-elite mob, it will deal high damage with Tooth Breaker, don't pull threat on it, or you will end up dying!
- Interrupt Irontide Waveshaper's Brackish Bolt and stop their Watertight Shell cast. In case it goes through, you can always opt to Dispel it before it explodes.
- Avoid staying in the Blacktar Bomber's Burning Tar ground visual and use defensives if you get targeted by Fire Bomb.
- Avoid the Scrimshaw Enforcer's Slobber Knocker frontal.
- Outrange the Irontide Raider's Savage Tempest and use defensive if your health is low before each Iron Hook as it does group-wide damage and pulls you in.
Chopper Redhook Boss Guide
All Roles
- If you get targeted by On the Hook (the boss prefers Ranged specs at first), make sure to run towards any Heavy Ordnance (bombs) on the ground. The longer you take to move him towards the Heavy Ordnance, the more stacks of Boiling Rage. The boss will have, eventually catching up with you, which will be lethal.
- Avoid staying in the Cannon Barrage ground effects.
- If Chopper Redhook does not soak all Heavy Ordnance before they expire, use defensive cooldown and soak them to prevent them from doing group-wide damage.
- if the On the Hook expires, the boss will cast Iron Hook to all enemies, dealing damage and triggering a secondary effect - Gore Crash, which you must run away from.
- Sidestep the incoming Heavy Slash from Irontide Cleaver.
Tank
- Gather the threat of any existing Irontide Cleaver & Irontide Powdershot and do your best to stack them under the boss to enable cleaving.
Healer
- Keep your party healthy at all times due to continuous attacks from Irontide Powdershot and its Molten Slug.
- Use your major healing cooldowns when Chopper Redhook casts Iron Hook as it will deal group-wide damage.
Dread Captain Lockwood + Trash Mobs in the Area
Notable Trash Before Dread Captain Lockwood
- Riptide Shredder will mostly exclusively be a threat to your tank with its auto-attacks and Singing Steel ability.
- TANK ALERT: Pre-use your active mitigation when pulling more than a few Irontide Curseblades due to their Cursed Slash frontload damage, leaving a Curse effect.
- Use defensive cooldown if Irontide Powdershot is firing its Molten Slug on you.
- Interrupt Ashvane Commander's Bolstering Shout and stay away from your party when targeted by Azerite Charge.
- Stay away from the Ashvane Spotter's Sighted Artillery ground visuals. Try to remove her Evasive buff before she casts Bounding Retreat and run away from melee.
- Dodge the incoming Broadside from Ashvane Cannoneer.
Dread Captain Lockwood Boss Guide
All Roles
- When the boss has Evasive buff, make sure to use Slow or Snare to remove it, else she will disengage and cast Gut Shot to a random member of your party.
- Sidestep the Clear the Deck frontal.
- Use defensive if you get hit by Fiery Ricochet.
- Sidestep the continuous ground visuals coming from Mass Bombardment.
- Dread Captain Lockwood will Withdraw on the ship at 66% HP and 33% HP, spawning 2x Ashvane Deckhands and a Ashvane Cannoneer. Once you defeat the Ashvane Cannoneer, you will be able to pick up his Unstable Ordnance, shoot towards the boss and resume the fight.
Tank
- Collect the threat from Ashvane Cannoneer and Ashvane Deckhands once they spawn from the Withdraw cast.
Healer
- Use your healing cooldowns if multiple people have the Fiery Ricochet DoT effect.
Hadal Darkfathom + Trash Mobs in the Area
Notable Trash Before Hadal Darkfathom
- Outrange the Bilge Rat Demolisher's Terrifying Roar and use defensive if you are low health when Crushing Slam is about to happen.
- Don't get too close to the Bilge Rat Buccaneer when he is casting Goin' Bananas.
- Interrupt Bilge Rat Pillager's Stinky Vomit.
- PRIORITY: Interrupt Choking Waters cast at all costs. Any spare interrupts should be used for Water Bolt.
- Bilge Rat Cutthroat will only be dangerous for your tank due to its Rotting Wounds Disease debuff.
- Another tank-exclusive dangerous non-boss-enemy is Ashvane Invader due to its Stinging Venom stackable Poison debuff.
Hadal Darkfathom Boss Guide
All Roles
- Use your defensives when Crashing Tide is about to happen and move away from the initial ground animation.
- Sidestep the Break Water frontal.
- Avoid at all costs the incoming Tidal Surge waves as it will be lethal for you.
Tank
- Move the boss away from the brine ground pools appear after each Break Water cast.
Healer
- Top-up your party after each Crashing Tide cast.
Viq'Goth Boss Guide
All Roles
- Avoid staying in the water; else, you will be caught in Crushing Embrace.
- Avoid being hit by the Call of the Deep ground puddles.
- Always prioritize killing the Demolishing Terror over Gripping Terror first, as it will continuously do group-wide damage with its Slam.
- After defeating each Demolishing Terror, let the most mobile player from your party do the Cannons and use Blast on the boss.
Tank
- Always tank the Demolishing Terror to avoid it from casting Hull Cracker.
Healer
- Dispel as many Putrid Waters debuffs as you can. Always prioritize DPS players over your tank!
