General Information
On this page, you will find a list of changes between Normal/Heroic modes and Mythic mode, as well as a working strategy to defeat Sisters of the Moon in Tomb of Sargeras in Mythic mode.
The other pages of our Sisters of the Moon guide can be accessed from the table of contents on the right.
Mythic Mode Abilities
The only change on Mythic difficulty is how Astral Purge interacts
with the raid group. Unlike the lesser difficulties, where this is a mechanic
unique to the individual, each Astral Purge triggered on Mythic difficulty
is raid-wide and afflicts everyone with
Astral Vulnerability.
Strategy
The mechanics on the Mythic difficulty of this encounter are all handled
in the same way as on Heroic, with the exception of Astral Purge.
To deal with the raid wide damage, the raid should pair off into small groups
(2-4 members each). These groups will rotate through clearing their debuffs
via
Astral Purge, minimizing the amount of damage taken and ensuring
the spikes of damage are predictable for healers. Each group should wait for
Vulnerability to fade before clearing, and ensure the raid is stabilized.
Clearing during deadly mechanics, such as
Glaive Storm, is inadvisable.
It must be noted that the healing requirement for this fight is very high. Most raid groups will find that a minimum of 5 healers are necessary to succeed, and some groups may even find that using 6 healers is in their best interests. While a sizeable portion of the damage on the fight is avoidable, it is unlikely all your raiders will avoid every mechanic for the duration of the encounter, and it is much safer to just "brute force" the fight by outhealing the sheer amount of damage the raid will be subjected to.
There is less pressure to clear your stacks on Mythic, and players are
generally encouraged to trigger Astral Purge at higher stacks (~15-20).
If you choose to 6-heal, you can increase the clear size of the groups as
well (up to 5 players should be able to clear inside one
Astral Vulnerability safely). Ensure you have coordinated healing
cooldowns well for high pressure points of the fight, especially if you
are forced to clear at this time.
Any player targeted by a mechanic that forces an Astral Purge,
such as
Moon Burn, should clear immediately if
Astral Vulnerability is not already stacked on the raid. The group
clearing rotation should then wait until this application of Vulnerability
fades before resuming the clear rotation.
Embrace of the Eclipse,
Call Moontalon, and
Glaive Storm
are the most threatening moments throughout the fight. It is recommended
you use
Bloodlust to eliminate Moontalon as fast as
possible. Healers must have cooldowns available for
Embrace of the Eclipse.
Glaive Storm is arguably the scariest mechanic of the fight; even if
your raid has to completely stop DPS while dodging the glaives, it is
entirely worth it if it ensures everyone survives.
