Mythic Mode Abilities
The Mythic version of this encounter has some very key and noteworthy differences and additions.
Each of Aluriel's animated adds will be much stronger in Mythic; most prominently, the Arcane Enchantments Armageddon channel only takes 15 seconds (instead of 20) and even one cast will likely wipe the raid if allowed to complete.
The Fel Soul
Most notably, Aluriel will summon the Fel Soul shortly after transitioning to each new element, which persists for 45 seconds. If the Fel Soul is ever more than 45 yards away from Aluriel, each of them will gain the Severed Soul buff, increasing their damage done and Haste by 500%. The Fel Soul will also cast Decimate on its current target every 20 seconds, dealing heavy Physical damage and knocking them back.
Additionally, the Fel Soul will cast a unique ability depending on the active element. During Frost phase, she will cast Whirling Barrage, targeting a random enemy and spinning in their direction for 12 seconds. Anyone hit will suffer moderate Fire damage every half second and be knocked back.
In the Fire phase, the Fel Soul will cast Fel Stomp approximately every 10-12 seconds. She will leap to a target and deal light Fire damage, damaging everyone hit and creating a pool of flame that damages anyone inside of it.
In the Arcane phase, the Fel Soul will cast Fel Lash. This attack deals enormous frontal damage, split between all targets within 8 yards.
The Fel Soul has the same total health as Aluriel. When it spawns for the first time, it will be at an equal percentage of health to Aluriel, however, they do not share health. Due to this, there is little reason to damage the Fel Soul unless cleaving results in a single target increase.
Strategy
The positioning for Mythic remains largely similar to Heroic; the main difference pertains to the positioning of the Fel Soul.
Frost Phase
Set up on the far side of the square, on the stairs leading to the Nightwell. Aluriel should be tanked at the bottom of the stairs on either side. The raid should have designated markers for the Mark of Frost collapse, as well as a priority list for who the Marks should go to next (See the "Dealing With Mark of Frost" section in the strategy section).
When the Fel Soul spawns, one of the tanks should pick it up and drag it up the stairs and away from the raid. This will give the group some breathing space to avoid the Whirling Barrage when it occurs.
When the Icy Enchantments spawn they should be quickly focused and prioritized.
Fire Phase
Positioning in this phase in unchanged. The Fel Stomp further encourages a healthy spread. The Fiery Enchantments must be interrupted and killed very quickly as any successful casts will very likely one shot the targeted player. Aluriel and the Fel Soul can be tanked in the same positions as in the first phase.
Arcane Phase
During this phase, the group should stay spread for the spawning of the Arcane Orbs. When the Fel Soul returns, the group should collapse onto melee (behind the boss). Aluriel should face one way, with the Fel Soul facing the raid stack behind the boss to split Fel Lash. The raid should move as a group for the rest of the phase. If Arcane Orbs spawn near the group, the boss can be moved up the stairs. When Detonate: Arcane Orb is cast, the raid should move in a tight U-shape in the doorway at the top of the stairs. This will ensure the Arcane Enchantments spawn as tightly as possible; if this is not executed correctly, it might be difficult to quickly DPS the Arcane adds down before the Armageddon channel finishes and wipes the raid.
Bloodlust
Bloodlust should be used at the start of the encounter for maximum damage.
