Subtlety Rogue DPS Ny'alotha Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5

As we get to experience the fights, and general raid strategies emerge, this section will be updated with tips and advice for Subtlety Rogue.

In this section, you will find information and guidance for each boss individually in Ny'alotha as a Subtlety Rogue. These are not complete encounter guides, but rather provide specific tips for any Subtlety Rogue on each boss.

We advise you to use the following essences against Wrathion, the Black Emperor.

You can use Cloak of Shadows to avoid the damage and knockback from Gale Blast. Cloak of Shadows also removes the debuff from Incineration but it still does damage to the raid, so make sure you run away from the group before doing so.

When Wrathion begins his Burning Cataclysm cast, it is possible to follow him and time your Cloak of Shadows towards the end of the cast. This gives you significantly more uptime DPSing instead of running.

Cloak of Shadows can be used to reset the stacks of Creeping Madness (Mythic only).

Cloak of Shadows is best used on this fight when you are bursting the boss while Maut has his Obsidian Skin active. As the reflect is Arcane damage, you will take no damage while Cloak of Shadows is active.

Cloak of Shadows also makes you immune to Stygian Annihilation.

Make sure you use Shuriken Storm when the small Aqir Drones are near the boss to gain more DPS.

Interrupt Ka'zir's Mind-Numbing Nova with Kick.

Using Kidney Shot on Aqir Darters can be very useful to reduce raid damage while providing a raid DPS boost with the Prey on the Weak talent.

Feint is useful for reducing incoming damage when Living Miasma's reach their target and explode.

Cloak of Shadows removes stacks of Debilitating Spit which can be deadly if combined with an add exploding when you have the debuff.

Save your DPS cooldowns for when the adds die and pick up a Void Infused Ichor to be able to DPS the boss.

Feint reduces the damage and Cloak of Shadows makes you immune to Entropic Crash.

Cloak of Shadows removes Encroaching Shadows when used, but you still drop a puddle at your location. Cloak of Shadows also makes you immune to applications of Void Corruption on Mythic difficulty. If timed properly, you can run into an existing puddle and use Cloak of Shadows to conserve space.

Kidney Shot and Blind are useful for disrupting Sinister Soulcarver's Spiteful Assault.

If you get Void Collapse, you can run out and use Cloak of Shadows to completely immune it and to prevent the healing debuff from being applied to your raid members.

Feint reduces damage of Void Eruption, in case you are about to get hit by them.

Use Kidney Shot to stun other players when they get Mind Controlled from Touch of the Corruptor. Kidney Shot is also useful against Blood of Ny'alotha, as stunning them will cause them to refixate on somebody else.

Evasion can be used to tank a Blood of Ny'alotha if it reaches you. Because you are dodging all of its attacks, you will not get stacks of Recurring Nightmare.

Cloak of Shadows removes the Madness Bomb from you. Make sure to run away from the raid before doing so as it still fears and drains sanity from players that are near you.

Feint can be used to reduce incoming damage from Eternal Torment.

Cloak of Shadows causes you to be immune to both damage and sanity loss during Paranoia. Keep in mind that you still drain sanity from other players if you run through them.

On Mythic difficulty, it is a common strategy to use Cloak of Shadows to soak Harvest Thoughts in Phase 2.
