Survival Hunter DPS The Eternal Palace Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5

In this section, you will find information and guidance for Survival Hunters on each boss individually in the Eternal Palace raid. These are not complete encounter guides, but rather provide specific tips for doing the bosses as a Survival Hunter.

The page will be filled out based on live server experience with the bosses, after the raid releases on the 9th of July.

When you have the Frost debuff and have to keep moving, we recommend continuously jumping as far as your rotation allows it. This is more efficient than moving around.

Aspect of the Turtle can be used to solo-soak Overflowing Venom / Overflowing Chill, which helps you with raid DPS as it means that only you have to place the pool it creates, letting other ranged stand still.

You should use Aspect of the Eagle when Overwhelming Barrage occurs, so that you do not lose any DPS while it is going on.

When swapping between platforms, we recommend sending your pet towards the boss (using /petattack), while you hit the Pufferfish. If you have /petattack macroed into your Kill Command, you may wish to undo this macro for this boss, if you are trying to maximize.

Aspect of the Turtle can be used to Turtle the expiration of the Arcane Bomb and prevent the stun. It can also be used to save your healers some effort in general.

You should use Disengage or Harpoon to get back in range after the Stormwraith knocks you back with its Gale Buffet.

If you swap targets to the Briny Bubbles using Mongoose Bite, then your pet must be attacking it too, otherwise Birds of Prey will not work porperly.

You can Disengage or Harpoon to cross the coral on the ground without taking damage.

Your focus should primarily be on dealing boss DPS on this fight, with adds being a very minor consideration for you.

When Phase 2 begins, it is possible to Disengage across the ledge, making sure that you do not Disengage into the path of any jellyfish - and then you can Harpoon to the boss while in mid-air.

Aspect of the Turtle can be used to solo-soak the Frenetic Charge, which saves your raid a lot of DPS by not having a lot of ranged DPS move to your location.

You can also use Feign Death to negate the charge. If you do it successfully, there will be no damage, no knockback, and it will not leave a pool behind. You have to Feign Death immediately when the boss targets you with the Frenetic Charge, and remain Feigned until it is over. Do not touch your mouse buttons while Feigned, as it is easy to break Feign on accident.

Alpha Predator helps with the Repeat Performance Decree, as it makes your rotation more flexible, allowing you to ensure that you never cast the same spell twice - you will almost always have a Kill Command to fill with.

Aspect of the Turtle can be used to reset stacks of Hysteria, which is particularly useful when you are about to enter Delirium.

In the Fear Phase, you can reset Hysteria by casting Turtle at ~11-12 seconds left on the debuff, and then cancelling it with 9 seconds left.

You effectively immune the debuff's refresh at the 10-second mark, and after this it will expire, resetting your stacks.

Duck and Cover can be used defensively before Manic Dread, and to stay inside Delirium longer.

Memory of Lucid Dreams is a powerful offensive and defensive Major Essence if you enter the Delirium realm, as it provides you with healing, Leech, and Versatility. Its cooldown also lines up with the high-priority Echo of Delirium adds.

Hunters can pick Essence of the Focusing Iris Major and deal very good damage to the Devoted adds that spawn on both Heroic and Mythic difficulty. This is only worth it if you are not meeting the DPS check otherwise.

If you are affected by Essence of Azeroth in Phase 4, you will have unlimited Focus. This means that you do not ever have to cast Kill Command. You will only need to cast Mongoose Bite and Wildfire Bomb.
