The War Within PvP Season 2 Guide

The second War Within season starts on March 4, 2025, in North America and one day later in Europe.

A new Cage of Carnage Arena has been added.

We have the following types of PvP gear in Season 2 — Crafted, Honor, Conquest, and War Mode gear.

Competitor's Recipes (crafted PvP gear plans) can be purchased from Hotharn at 55.5, 76.9 in Dornogal for 7,500 Honor each. The vendor also sells:

• Prized Combatant's Heraldry for 350 Honor: Increases Item Level to 652.
• Prized Aspirant's Heraldry for 175 Honor: Increases Item Level to 665.
• Prized Gladiator's Heraldry for 175 Conquest: Increases Item Level to 678.
• Vicious Bloodstone for 2,500 Honor: Crafting Reagent used to augment PvP gear in variou ways.
• Prized Jeweler's Setting for 5,000 Honor and 3 Vicious Bloodstones: Adds a socket to a War Within PvP Item, cannot be used on Helms, Amulets, Bracers, Belts, and Rings. Jewelry can have up to 2 sockets.

Honor gear can be purchased from Velerd located in the same room as Hotharn (see above for the exact coordinates). In Season 2, Honor gear starts at Item Level 597 and the item level increases in PvP combat to 665. It follows the Explorer track, and you must spend Honor on the gear.

In addition to gear, the vendor also sells Prized Aspirant's Heraldry for 175 Honor, Algari Distinguishment (contains 5 Marks of Honor) for 2,000 Honor and Glorious Contender's Strongbox (contains Profession reagents, recipe scrolls, and PvP consumables) for 3,500 Honor.

Here are Honor gear costs per slot.

• Helm, Chest, and Legs cost 875 Honor.
• Shoulders, Gloves, Waist, and Feet cost 700 Honor.
• Neck, Back, Wrist, and Rings cost 525 Honor.
• One-Hand weapons cost 875-1,225 Honor.
• Off-Hands cost 525 Honor.
• Two-Hand weapons cost 1,750 Honor.
• Trinkets cost between 525-700 Honor.

Conquest gear starts at Item Level 636 (678 in PvP) and follows the Champion track.

The Conquest Quartermaster is Lalandi.

Below, you will find the costs of Conquest gear.

• Helm, Chest, and Legs cost 875 Conquest.
• Shoulders, Gloves, Waist, and Feet cost 700 Conquest.
• Neck, Back, Wrist, and Rings cost 525 Conquest.
• One-Hand weapons cost 875-900 Conquest.
• Off-Hands cost 525 Conquest.
• Two-Hand weapons cost 1,750 Conquest.
• Trinkets cost between 525-700 Conquest.

Lalandi also offers the Prized Weapons of Conquest quest that requires you to obtain 2,500 Conquest in Rated Arenas and Battlegrounds for an Item Level 636 (678 in PvP) weapon for your specialization. You must complete this quest to buy weapons for Conquest from the vendor.

In addition to gear, the vendor also sells the following items:

• Conqueror's Prized Lacquer for 700 Conquest: Increases the minimum item level of Liberation of Undermine set gloves and shoulder armor to 678 in Arenas and Battlegrounds.
• Conqueror's Prized Varnish for 875 Conquest: Increases the minimum item level of Liberation of Undermine set helm, chestpiece, or leg armor to 678 in Arenas and Battlegrounds. Helms will not become eligible for additional sockets from Prized Jeweler's Setting.
• Prized Gladiator's Heraldry for 175 Conquest. This Crafting Reagent enables crafting gear to scale to 678 Item Level.

Gilderann is the War Mode gear vendor in the War Within Season 2. War Mode gear starts at Item Level 632 (675 in PvP) and follows the Veteran gear upgrade track. War Mode gear can be purchased with Bloody Tokens.

The costs of War Mode gear are as follows:

• One-Hand Weapons cost 875 Bloody Tokens.
• Head , Chest, Legs cost 875 Bloody Tokens.
• Wrist and Back cost 525 Bloody Tokens.
• Shoulders, Hands, Waist, Feet cost 700 Bloody Tokens.

All types of PvP gear can be upgraded with the The War Within Gear Upgrade System system using Valorstones and crests. However, upgrades will only increase the item's PvE Item Level, not the PvP Item Level.

The nearest item upgrades vendor is Ledonir location at 59.8, 69.9 in Dornogal. The vendor is located on the opposite side of the Contender's Gate.

The Conquest cap is 1,600 for Week 1 of Season 2 and increases by 600 every week. The Conquest cap is completely removed during Week 11 of the season.

The Elite Conquest vendor is Rogurn, standing to the left side of the gear upgrader. He sells cosmetics for Marks of Honor.

Ruffious at the Contender's Gate (59, 75) will have multiple PvP quests for you!

These include:

• Spark of War Quests — Requires you to collect 100 Sparks of War in one of the four zones for 1,000 Bloody Tokens, 50 Conquest, 500 Honor and 250 Renown.
• Preserving Solo — Requires you to complete 12 rounds of Solo Shuffle. Rewards 500 Honor, 175 Conquest, and 100 Pact reputation.
• Preserving in Skirmishes — Requires you to collect 1,000 Honor in Arena Skirmishes. Rewards 350 Honor, 125 Conquest, and 100 Pact reputation.

Here's an overview of the most notable rewards available from Arenas and Battlegrounds in Season 2.

Win 50 games in 3v3 Arena while at Elite rank (2,400 rating) to get the Gladiator title and the Prized Gladiator's Fel Bat mount.

Win rated PvP matches during Season 2 at 1,000 rating or higher to earn faction-themed Vicious Electro Eels.

Earning a 1,600+ Rated PVP rating rewards you with the The War Within Season 2: Master Blaster achievements that grants one Matrix Catalyst charge via Crystallized Essence of Kaja'mite.

Earning Elite: The War Within Season 2 provides you with Gallagio Highroller's Boomstone that adds visual effects to the Liberation of Undermine sets.

Other rewards in The War Within Season 2 include the Prized Legend's Pennant toy, Prized Gladiator's Tabard, and Prized Gladiator's Prestigious Cloak.
