Overview
Trilliax is a 3-phase encounter in the Nighthold. This is a high movement, single target encounter that mostly focuses on environmental awareness. While it is mechanically uncomplicated overall, it can harshly punish players who make mistakes. Trilliax cycles through his phases in a time based fashion, meaning the raid will likely have to deal with multiple revolutions before finishing the encounter.
All Phases
Arcane Seepage forms on the ground under random players as
the boss is damaged. A purple circle will appear briefly before the
Arcane Seepage spawns, giving players a moment to move. Once it
has spawned, it deals low Arcane damage every second to players standing in it.
They persist indefinitely, unless cleared by a Scrubber.
The Cleaner
Trilliax will stay in this phase for 45 seconds.
Arcane Slash is periodically cast on the main tank. It deals
heavy Arcane damage in front of Trilliax, which can be split between 2 targets.
It also applies a debuff to the main target that increases damage taken by 35%
for the next 30 seconds, and it stacks.
Toxic Slice spawns toxic cakes throughout the perimeter of
the room. Players that come in contact with the
Toxic Slices
will apply a debuff that deals Nature damage every second for 20 seconds. This
debuff can stack if the player eats additional slices. They persist
indefinitely unless eaten. If Trilliax reaches the Caretaker phase or the
next cycle of the Cleaner phase with
Toxic Slices remaining,
he will perform abilities that usually result in a raid wipe. Trilliax will
spawn
Toxic Slices every 30 seconds, for a total of 2 casts
before the next phase begins. On Heroic difficulty and up, players will be
Stuffed for 60 seconds, preventing them from eating another
Toxic Slice and reducing movement speed by 25%.
Sterilize will only occur in the second Cleaner phase
and any additional Cleaner phases after that. Trilliax will debuff several
players, which causes them to inflict Arcane damage every 0.5 seconds for
40 seconds to anyone within 7 yards. If the damaging pulse makes contact
with a Scrubber, it will drain 4% of their maximum Energy
every 0.5 seconds and increase their movement speed by 70%. It will also
cause the debuffed player to take moderate Arcane damage every 0.5
seconds.
Cleansing Rage will only occur in the second Cleaner phase
and any additional Cleaner phases after that. Trilliax will destroy any
remaining
Toxic Slices and deal heavy raid wide Arcane
damage based on the number of remaining
Toxic Slices.
The Maniac
Trilliax will stay in this phase for 40 seconds.
Mana Rupture will damage half the raid every second during
this phase. It deals light Arcane damage.
Arcing Bonds will link 2 players together, causing them
to take heavy damage if they are too far apart. They cease to take damage
when they are standing close together.
Arcing Bonds lasts
30 seconds.
Annihilation is cast roughly halfway through the phase.
Trilliax will jump to the center of the room and create a laser beam that
comes out of the front and back of the boss. Trilliax will randomly spin
in either direction, and can change direction during the 16-second channel.
Anyone caught in the beams during this time will take extremely significant
Arcane damage every 0.5 seconds. Trilliax will end the Maniac phase at the
conclusion of this channel.
The Caretaker
Trilliax will stay in this phase for roughly 13 seconds.
Succulent Feasts are spawned at the beginning of the phase
throughout the arena. Players that eat the feasts are granted a hefty absorb
that lasts 2 minutes or until fully depleted.
Tidy Up summons 5 Scrubbers to cleanse
the room of
Arcane Seepage and
Toxic Slices.
Each pool they scrub will grant them 20 Energy (25 on Heroic); if they reach
100 Energy they will begin to cast
Cleansing Destruction.
If this cast concludes the raid will take moderate Arcane damage. Players
can interact with the Scrubber during
Cleansing Destruction and prevent the cast, which causes the
soaker to be the only one to take damage.
