Overview
Vectis is a two-phase encounter, with the two phases cycling back and forth on a fixed timer until the boss is killed.
Omega Vector
Omega Vector is a DoT dealing moderate Shadow damage every 2 seconds for 10 seconds. Upon expiration, it will jump to the closest friendly player and leave a stack of Lingering Infection on the previous host. Omega Vector is applied at the start of the fight and will persist until the end, jumping between players, regardless of the phase the fight is in.
Phase One: Probing its Hosts
Phase One lasts until Vectis summons 4 Plague Amalgams (roughly 90 seconds), after which time the boss will transition into Phase Two.
Evolving Affliction
Periodically Vectis will apply Evolving Affliction to the active tank. It is a stacking debuff, dealing moderate Nature damage every 2 seconds for 12 seconds.
Contagion
At regular intervals, Vectis will cast Contagion, dealing moderately high Nature damage to the raid. Players with high stacks of Lingering Infection will be particularly susceptible to this ability.
Gestate
Vectis will target a player and cast Gestate on them, stunning them, and dealing moderate Shadow damage every 2 seconds for 5 seconds to them and anyone within 5 yards. After the stun, a Plague Amalgam will spawn within 5 yards of the player.
The Plague Amalgam will cast Immunosuppression, which will place a large healing absorption shield on the raid.
Phase Two: Spreading Pandemic
Phase Two lasts roughly 30 seconds, after which time Vectis goes back to Phase One.
Liquefy
Vectis will cast Liquefy, turning into a pool of blood and becoming untargetable. He will then move to one of several set positions in the room and cast Blood Geyser on the raid. Touching the pool will also apply a stack of Lingering Infection.
Blood Geyser
Blood Geyser projectiles move across the ground relatively quickly, and will inflict moderate Shadow damage as well as apply a stack of Lingering Infection if they strike a player.
Plague Bomb
Vectis will spawn Plague Bombs around the room. Upon expiration, they will deal moderately heavy Shadow damage to anyone within 6 yards of them, as well as leave a small DoT. If no one is inside the bomb's radius when it explodes, it will spawn a Plague Amalgam.
