Lore
Vectis can be accessed after Taloc and MOTHER have been slain.
The plague of corrupted blood killed countless trolls and began one of the most terrifying periods in Zandalar's history. The constructs within Uldir studied the disease in search of a cure, but found that only isolation and extermination was effective. Unfortunately, as the facility's safeguards cracked apart, the plague was accidentally combined with a sample of G'huun's blood creating a new entity that hungered for fresh victims.
Outline
Vectis is a fight revolving around managing a set of debuffs while
the boss cycles between two phases. Omega Vector is a small DoT applied
to several people at the start of the fight. Once this DoT expires, it will
leave a stacking debuff that increases Nature damage taken, then will jump to
the next nearest player. Managing this debuff is key to ensuring a kill.
TL;DR
Tanks
- Taunt swap when one tank has dropped their stacks of
Evolving Affliction.
- Make sure to avoid receiving
Omega Vector from your other raiders.
Healers
- Keep an eye on players with high stacks of
Lingering Infection.
- Be mindful of who
Omega Vector is on, and be ready to dump heals into them if they are targeted by
Gestate.
- In phase two, give special attention to players soaking
Plague Bomb.
DPS
- Focus down Plague Amalgams as fast as possible to prevent
additional casts of
Immunosuppression.
Everyone
- Coordinate with those around you to drop
Omega Vector into targets with low stacks of
Lingering Infection.
- In phase 2, be sure to soak
Plague Bomb, while also dodging
Blood Geyser.
Positioning
- Tank Vectis where he stands.
- Spread loosely behind the boss to avoid multiple people being hit by
Gestate.
- Have players with high stacks of
Lingering Infection move farther away from where
Omega Vectors are being passed around.
Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp
We advise you to use
Bloodlust/
Heroism/
Time Warp on the pull to
synergize with DPS cooldowns and pre-pots.
