Vengeance Demon Hunter Tank Simulations — The War Within (11.0.5)
On this page, you will find a number of useful simulation results for your Vengeance Demon Hunters in World of Warcraft — The War Within (11.0.5).
Simulations in The War Within
Simulation programs such as Raidbots are incredibly useful programs for World of Warcraft players. They can suggest to you what talents to use and what gear you have is best for you. Over time, "simming" has become more and more widespread throughout the WoW community. The main place to perform simulations is on Raidbots.
How Simulations work for Tanks
Does this work for tanks? The answer is yes and no. You can currently simulate DPS gains for most tanks to a reasonable degree. This will have similar rules to simming damage-dealing specs. The difference for tanks is that you cannot properly simulate for survivability. There are several factors and metrics for tanking that make it almost impossible to accurately simulate survivability.
Currently, some types of simulations on Raidbots are not supported for Vengeance Demon Hunter. Therefore, the recommendation is to always simulate using Patchwerk settings with different amounts of targets. 1 target for simulating fighting bosses and 5 or more targets with shorter time settings for normal groups of enemies.
Combat Logs
Combat Logs are a recording of all actions in a dungeon or raid, which are then formatted in an easy-to-read way. Websites such as Warcraft Logs serve as a directory where you can upload your logs or examine those of other players. You can use logs of yourself or others of your class and specialization to help improve your play.
WoW Analyzer is an exceptionally powerful and easy-to-use tool for analyzing your combat log for you. Even if you are inexperienced with combat logs, WoW Analyzer will quickly provide a wide variety of information regarding your gameplay and point out what parts you can improve.
To get the best results, we recommend using combat logs, the discord communities, and programs like WoW Analyzer together to figure out what gear performs best and further improve your gameplay ability as Vengeance Demon Hunter.
