World of Warcraft Anniversary Event Guide
The following guide is dedicated to the yearly anniversary event in World of Warcraft.
20th Anniversary Event Guide
World of Warcraft is celebrating 20 years and we have a dedicated guide to the celebration linked here.
To learn more about the 20th Anniversary Event Guide, head over to our guide linked below.
What is New in 2023?
When you log in to the game in 2023, you will receive the Anniversary Gift that contains 200 Timewarped Badges, Lil' Frostwing (battle pet), some fireworks, and a Celebration Package that increases XP and reputation gains by 19%.
The reputation buff works with the Dream Wardens reputation added in Patch 10.2 and stacks with the ongoing Pilgrim's Bounty buff for a total of +29% increased reputation.
Time-Displaced vendors are selling non-upgradeable Item Level 411 gear this year for Marks of Honor and Timewarped Badges.
World Bosses drop Item Level 441 gear on the Veteran Track this year. You can turn it into Amirdrassil Tier Set pieces of armor at the Revival Catalyst.
Azure Worldchiller is a 100% drop from the Doomwalker World Boss in Tanaris this year. It is a recolor of the Obsidian Worldbreaker mount.
World Boss Doomwalker
Doomwalker is available in Tanaris at the entrance to the Caverns of Time. Head to your faction portal room and grab the Caverns of Time portal. Doomwalker can be killed for Item Level 441 loot every day and the associated weekly quest rewards Timewarped Badges. Doomwalker has a 100% chance to drop Azure Worldchiller in 2023. He also drops the Doomwalker Trophy Stand toy. Illidari Doomhawk that dropped last year can be purchased from Historian Ma'di with badges.
You must be Level 30 and above to receive loot from the boss. Characters Level 30+ should talk to Chromie and return to the present timeline before facing Doomwalker.
Anniversary Event Rewards
All players who log into the game will receive a Anniversary Gift Package that contains 200 Timewarped Badges and a Celebration Package that increases Experience and Reputation gains by 19% for the duration of the event. The package also contains an Invitation from the Timewalkers which starts a new quest leading you to either Orgrimmar or Stormwind.
In 2023, players are granted the Lil' Frostwing pet which grants them an achievement of the same name.
Timewalking Vendor
Historian Ma'di is the Timewalking anniversary vendor. You can find her in Caverns of Time (51, 42). She sells items from previous anniversary celebrations for Timewarped Badges.
Her wares include:

Korrak's Revenge
Korrak's Revenge is a throwback Battleground inspired by the earliest day of Alterac Valley.
You can queue up for it by pressing "H" and selecting Korrak's Revenge to start the Classic version of Alterac Valley.
Chromie also offers the Soldier of Time weekly quest that we recommend to pick up before queueing up for Korrak's Revenge. In order to complete the quest, you must earn 500 Honor in Korrak's Revenge to get 200 Timewarped Badges and 5 Mark of Honor.
The meta-achievement of the Battleground is Alterac Valley of Olde and you will earn it by collecting 200 Timewarped Badges from quests and participating in Alterac Valley Classic.
The goal is to focus on collecting tokens from enemy corpses to summon mighty reinforcements and help your team claim victory.
Alterac Valley of Olde incorrectly states that it rewards faction-themed mounts and a patch is required to fix that on live servers.
You will receive the faction-themed mounts from a bonus objective that pops up when you are inside the battleground. If you did not receive your mount, but completed the objective, we advise you to log out of the game and log back in to see if you received your reward.
Badges earned prior to the November 10 fix will not count as credit toward the quest, and must be re-earned.
Alliance players will get the Stormpike Battle Ram mount.
Horde players can unlock Frostwolf Snarler.
Old Vanilla World Bosses
Players level 15 and above can take on Lord Kazzak, Azuregos, and one of the four Dragons of Nightmare (Emeriss, Lethon, Taerar, and Ysondre) each day for loot and 50 Timewarped Badges.
Do not forget to pick The Originals weekly quest before killing the bosses to receive 150 Timewarped Badges. You can also get bonus rolls in Dazar'alor or Boralus for an extra chance to receive items.
- Lord Kazzak spawns within the Tainted Scar in the Blasted Lands.
- You can find Azuregos in southeastern Azshara.
- Emeriss, Lethon, Taerar, and Ysondre, also known as the four Dragons of Nightmare, have a chance to spawn in one of following locations: Duskwood (Twilight Grove), Hinterlands (Seradane), Feralas (Dream Bough), and Ashenvale (Bough Shadow).
The world bosses drop items that have been removed from the game. You will find a complete list of loot in our news post.
