Overview
Wrathion's Molten Eruption unleash Molten Pool throughout the space, consuming 50 energy. When all his energy is depleted, Wrathion melds into the shadows and inflicts Burning Madness on enemies and transforms all Molten Pool into Crackling Shards. While hidden in the shadows, Wrathion regains energy, and once fully recharged returns to the fight space and turns any remaining Crackling shards into Lava Pools.
- Focus damage on Crackling Shards when they emerge.
- Move to a safe space during Burning Cataclysm to avoid taking lethal damage.
- Running through Crackling Shards while afflicted with Burning Madness destroys them.
- Allies afflicted with Burning Madness receive heavy Fire damage.
- Move to a safe space during Burning Cataclysm to avoid taking lethal damage.
- Running through Crackling Shards while afflicted with Burning Madness destroys them.
- Tank swap before your stacks of Searing Armor get too high.
- Move to a safe space during Burning Cataclysm to avoid taking lethal damage.
- Running through Crackling Shards while afflicted with Burning Madness destroys them.
Stage One: The Black Emperor
Inflicts 148,818 Fire damage to all players in a cone in front of the caster and applies a stack of Searing Armor.
Inflicts 11,146 Fire damage every 1 sec and increases the damage of Searing Breath by 80% for 20 sec.
This effect stacks.
Ignites random targets, inflicting 27,865 Fire damage every 2 sec for 8 sec. Upon expiration, targets explode, inflicting 167,420 Fire damage to all players. Damage decreases the further targets are from the point of impact.
Unleashes a gale blast, inflicting 120,914 Fire damage and knocking players back within 30 yards, as well as inflicting 83,710 Fire damage to all players outside of 30 yards.
Afterwards, launches fire balls at random enemy destinations that inflict 139,516 Fire damage to enemies within 5 yards of impact.
Wrathion teleports to a random spot and spews fire, inflicting 18,602 Fire damage to enemies every 1 sec for 8 sec.
Additionally, scorching blisters form throughout the area.
From the ash, scorching blisters form. Inflicts 46,441 Fire damage every 1 sec to enemies standing within them.
These blisters grow over 10 sec before exploding, inflicting 223,227 Fire damage to enemies within 30 yards.
Unleashes a hail of fireballs, inflicting 62,476 Fire damage and knocking back players within 3 yards of the point of impact.
Each eruption leaves behind a Molten Pool.
Each Molten Pool transforms into a Crackling Shard when Wrathion's energy reaches zero.
Inflicts 148,818 Physical damage to players in a cone behind him, knocking them back.
Stage Two: Smoke and Mirrors
Scales fall from Wrathion. Catching a scale inflicts the player with Burning Madness. Any scales not caught inflict 130,215 Fire damage to all players.
While under the effects of madness, any Crackling Shard you run over is destroyed and extends the duration of your Burning Madness. Each time this occurs one stack of Burning Madness is removed.
Summoned from molten pools. Any shards still remaining at the end of Stage Two are turned into Lava Pools.
When a shard is destroyed, it inflicts 27,903 Fire damage to all players within 10 yards.
Formed from unbroken shards, lava pools inflict 46,441 Fire damage every 1 sec to players standing within the pool.
Additionally, every lava pool created inflicts a stack of Rising Heat onto players.
As lava pillars consume the space, heat rises inflicting 741 Fire damage every 1 sec for the duration of the encounter.
This effect stacks.
