Anby Demara Guide and Best Builds for Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ)

Anby Demara is an A-Rank Electric Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. Anby deals Slash damage which can accumulate Daze and Stun enemies. Anby Demara belongs to the Cunning Hares Faction, alongside other Agents such as Nekomata, Nicole Demara, and Billy Kid.

Anby has a shrouded past, and her age and origins are unknown. Whether she does not remember or just refuses to talk about it is unclear. Calm and collected, she is competent and efficient in combat, as if she had years of prior training.

Anby Demara can be pulled at a regular rate from all Channels, excluding the Bangboo Channel. She is also provided to all players immediately upon starting the game from the main story.

Players can also obtain Anby at an increased Signal Search rate in the limited-time Exclusive Channel banner, "Moonlit Serenity"! The increased rate will be available until November 27th, 2024 at 11:59:59 (Server Time).

Strengths

• The only F2P A-Rank stun character.
• Her optimal combos deal a lot of Daze for fast stuns.
• Using her EX Special at optimal times in the combo speeds up it's execution.

Weaknesses

• As a F2P A-Rank, she deals much less stun than S-Rank Stun Agents.
• Optimal combos can be tough to execute.

Anby's gameplay revolves around building Daze by using her hold Basic Attack or her Special Attack during her Basic Attack combo to deal increased Daze and stun enemies easily.

Anby's hold button Basic Attack and her timed Special Attack and EX Special Attack deal increased Daze to enemies, so taking advantage of these is important to Stunning enemies quickly. Compared to the S-Rank Stun Agents, Anby's Daze application is much lower, so taking advantage of these properly is important to bridge the gap. She is the only A-Rank Stun Agent in the game, and is given to you for free, so it can be worthwhile to learn how to properly play her.

Anby's best W-Engine is The Restrained. It increases the damage and Daze from her basic attacks, the core part of the Daze combos. Her best A-Rank option is Steam Oven. This W-Engine increases her Impact every time 10 energy is accumulated.

While Ice-Jade Teapot can be considered as a S-Rank W-Engine alternative, players should keep in mind that Anby may not be the most suitable for its Effect Ringing Melody. This is because at minimum, Anby should possess at least 15 stacks of Tea-riffic before switching to another Agent. This would allow the squad to benefit from the DMG buff. However, to do so, she needs to attack 15 or more times (more than 3 Basic Combos, which total 12 attacks), at which point, she may have already stunned the target. If Anby is well built and players use her EX Specials effectively in combat, Anby may not build up to 30 stacks properly, which decreases the potential Impact the W-Engine can provide for her.

Anby's best Drive set is the Shockstar Disco set. It's the best set for all stun Agents, granting a great bonus to her Impact and Daze. The best 2 piece set is Swing Jazz for the energy regen, but Freedom Blues and Thunder Metal are both good too. The only mandatory main stat on the Drives is Impact on Disk 6, everything else is flexible depending on how you build her and which substats the pieces roll.

Anby's best Bangboo are Amillion on a Cunning Hares team, and Plugboo on a mono- Electric team.

Other alternatives include Sumoboo and Electroboo as A-Rank options.

The first example team is a Cunning Hares team utilizing Nekomata as the DPS. If you do not have her, Billy Kid can also be used as your DPS. We use Amillion as the Bangboo on this team as its passive activates with the Cunning Hares Faction. The second example team is a Mono-Electric team using Grace Howard or Anton Ivanov as the DPS. This team uses Plugboo as the Bangboo.
