How to Play Ben
Ben Bigger functions as a defensive support character. His gameplay centers around applying mitigative shields to himself and teammates, as well as powerful parry damage scaling off his DEF stat.
Unlike other characters, Ben scales off his DEF stat. This is seen in both his ATK, scaling off 40% of his DEF stat, and his shields, scaling off of his DEF stat. This is further demonstrated when looking at Ben's 2nd Mindscape, Offense Through Defense, which allows his Block Counters to deal a massive amount of damage scaling with a 300% bonus from his DEF stat.
Rather than dodge, Ben is perfectly capable of defending himself and standing in strong enemy attacks due to being invulnerable when activating Block with a Special Attack. This shielding can be further improved by pairing Ben with another Fire Agent or an Agent from Belobog Heavy Industries, boosting CRIT Rate by 16%!
Overall, this furry friend is quite the tank; don't let his sturdiness fool you though, he's capable of dishing out high amounts of damage on his own.

Spring Embrace is currently Ben's best W-Engine with the increased Energy Generation that can also be passed along to other party members. If you are playing him as a Stun support however, Original Transmorpher is instead your best option.
Likewise with Drive Discs, Swing Jazz is a more supportive set for Ben however Shockstar Disco is instead the Stun-focused set you should use depending on how you intend to play him. With substats, Ben mainly wants DEF but CRIT and PEN are useful to increase the damage that he can provide.
Bangboo Information
With Ben already being a Defense character, generalist Bangboo such as Exploreboo and Avocaboo are off the table as they are not needed. This also means that Sumoboo will not work on Ben to increase his Daze given it only works on Stun characters.
Cryboo and Rocketboo can be a great Bangboo when Ben is being paired with other Fire Agents while Safety is the Belobog Heavy Industries choice.
Ben Bigger Team Comps and Synergy
As both a defensive support or an impact support, Ben can be used in a wide range of teams due to the CRIT Rate passive he provides and as a free character he can also be used in one half of Shiyu Defense quite easily.
DPS | Stun | Support | Bangboo |
---|---|---|---|
Ben Bigger | Lucy |
The first team example is using Ben Bigger as a Stun character to support either Soldier 11 or Piper Wheel as the DPS of the team. In this team Lucy is your best support option with the incredible DMG buffs she provides.
DPS | Stun | Support | Bangboo |
---|---|---|---|
Soldier 11 | Ben Bigger | Rocketboo |
This other Soldier 11 team uses either Koleda Belobog who has amazing Synergy with Ben or Caesar King who provides ATK buffs. The defensive utility from Caesar is also nice but having Ben in the party means it is not the focus.
