Corin Wickes Guide and Best Builds for Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ)
Introduction - Corin Wickes
Corin Wickes is an A-Rank Physical Attack Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. She specializes in dealing Slash damage against enemies, with an emphasis on extended attacks with her chainsaw. Corin Wickes belongs to the Victoria Housekeeping Co. Faction alongside Alexandrina Sebastiane, Ellen Joe, and Von Lycaon. She reaches her highest damage potential against stunned enemies and when teamed up with another Physical or Victoria Housekeeping Co. character.
Domestic work or not, leave everything to her! (Oh, uhh? B-but I'm not
that good!)
She's obedient, diligent and responsible, and not afraid of a little hard
work! (One moment please! That's really not me!)
She'll never let her companions suffer, and always takes responsibility!
(Please listen to me! Such exaggeration will make customers misunderstand!)
You'll find no better maid than Corin! (Oooh, please, please don't send this
report out! This isn't the real me!)
How to Pull Corin
Corin Wickes can be pulled at a regular rate from all Channels, excluding the Bangboo Channel. You will also be receiving one free copy of Corin as part of the ZZZ Pre-Registration rewards.
Strengths and Weaknesses
- Free unit simply for playing the game.
- Good Burst Damage against stunned enemies, especially Physical weak ones.
- All her faction partners are already available, making it easy for her to trigger her Additional Ability passive.
- Has to channel her attacks to deal optimal damage, making her vulnerable to being interrupted.
- Even on release, she shares her role with 3 other Physical DPS.
- Requires Enemies to be stunned for full damage potential, leading to lackluster damage outside of burst windows.

Corin's Best Mindscapes
None of the mindscapes for Corin stand out as being particularly important, with the strongest Mindscapes being her M3, Amateur Maid, and M5, Special Ops Maid. These increase the level of all her skills, actively improving her damage output within a single rotational cycle.
# | Mindscape | Description |
---|---|---|
M1 | Open Trauma | When Corin's Chain Attack or Ultimate hits an enemy, her DMG against the target increases by 12% for 15s. |
M2 | Atomic Smash | When Corin's EX Special Attack, Chain Attack or Ultimate hits an enemy, the target's Physical RES is reduced by 0.5%, stacking up to 20 times and lasting 5s. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
M3 | Amateur Maid | Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 |
M4 | Battlefield Retainer | When Corin uses a Reactive Assist, Defensive Assist, or Chain Attack, she recovers 7.2 Energy. This effect can trigger once every 16s. |
M5 | Special Ops Maid | Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2. |
M6 | Accumulated Release | When Corin's extended slash hits an enemy, she obtains a stack of Charge (max 40 stacks). During a Dodge Counter, Special Attack, EX Special Attack, Reactive Assist, or Assist Follow-Up, when her chainsaw detonation hits an enemy, consumes all stacks of Charge. Each stack consumed causes the attack to deal an additional 3% of ATK as DMG. |

How to Play Corin
Corin Wickes is primarily played as a damage dealer and extending her chainsaw slash attacks by holding the Basic Attack which allows it to deal increased damage.
This will require you to leverage the downtime between enemy attacks to get as much uptime as possible, by dodging their attacks and attacking while the enemy recovers from their attack animation. By keeping an eye on the Daze bar of the enemy, you can predict when the target will Stun, allowing you to initiate an attack, stun the enemy before they can attack you back, and then extend your attack for massive damage.
Thankfully, even if you do get hit, some of Corin's skills increase her resistance to having her attacks interrupted, while also taking less damage, making her playstyle more forgiving and less punishing when not played perfectly.

Corin's best W-Engine is Nekomata's signature weapon, Steel Cushion. It provides a lot of extra CRIT Rate, which is hard to come by on A-Rank weapons. Still, Corin's own signature Housekeeper is only performing 10-15% behind the S-Rank option, and the additional Energy Regen is very helpful to help her not rely on Basic Attacks too much, which are difficult to chain to the end of their combo.
For her Drive Discs, you have 2 options, with Fanged Metal and Puffer Electro working very well for her. Any combination of those sets to get their respective 4-piece and 2-piece bonuses is worth playing, and it will typically come down to the substats.
You will want to mostly play her as a burst-character during Stuns to deal full damage with her Ultimate and Special Attack, so max those first. While her Basic Attack deals good damage, it only does so when you can fully channel the entire set of combos, and that is all but impossible against most tougher enemies due to their frequent attacks.
Bangboo Information
Corin's best Bangboo is Butler. The Butler is great because Corin is a very Energy hungry character, and Butler provides a lot of extra Energy to let her use her EX Special Attack more often.
Other alternatives include Booressure and Bagboo as A-Rank options.
Corin Team Comps and Synergies
DPS | Stun | Support | Bangboo |
---|---|---|---|
Corin Wickes | Von Lycaon | Soukaku | |
Corin Wickes | Qingyi | Alexandrina Sebastiane |
Special mention: Caesar King. Caesar's shield greatly increases your Anti-Interrupt level, allowing Corin to fully channel her attacks while the shield is active. As such, she makes a perfect partner in any Corin team, whether you pair her with a stunner or a Support.
In order to optimize Corin's damage, she will need enemies to be stunned or disabled so she can fully leverage her long charge-attack animations. Von Lycaon is by far the strongest Stun Agent the game currently offers, while also enabling Cleanup Assistance.
Soukaku helps boost Corin's ATK by triggering her Blade Banner effect. This buff applies to Soukaku, but can be passed along to another character through Chain Attacks or Quick Assists. Make sure that your Chain Attack ends on Corin and has Soukaku going before her.
