Introduction — Pyrois

Pyrois is an S-Rank Ether DPS Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. Pyrois belongs to the Phaethon Faction, which currently consists of the main 2 characters, Wise and Belle, alongside Fairy.

Pyrois and his signature W-Engine Sol Exuvia can be obtained for free by playing the Roscaelifer Main Story in Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0. Pyrois' Mindscapes and W-Engine copies can be obtained by exploring the Roscaelifer map and leveling up your Interboo level. Currently, up to Pyrois' second Mindscape can be unlocked, with the rest obtainable in future patches.

Pyrois's Core Passives

Core Passive: Radiant Chariot
Lv. 7

Upon entering battle, Pyrois gains 30 Solar Prominence. This effect can trigger once every 180s in Investigation Zone mode. Landing different attacks on enemies grants a certain amount of Solar Prominence, and Pyrois also gains 0.5 Solar Prominence every second while in-combat, up to a max of 60.
When Pyrois uses different Ultimates, they gain the following effects:
Upper Branch - Ultimate: Total Annihilation: Gains 30 Solar Prominence and enters the Mirage state. While in the Mirage state, Pyrois' Ultimate deals 40% increased CRIT DMG against Stunned enemies, and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, hold Basic Attack during the 4th hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light. This effect lasts 21s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
Lower Branch - Ultimate: Triumphant Return: Enters the Sunflare state. While in the Sunflare state, Energy Generation Rate increases by 15%, DMG dealt increases by 40%, and triggering a Perfect Block with an EX Special Attack grants 10 Solar Prominence. This effect lasts 200s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
Left Branch - Ultimate: Unbound Swordstorm: When this skill's heavy attack hits an enemy in the Contamination state, it deals 900% of ATK as additional DMG.
Right Branch - Ultimate: Eternal Imprisonment: When this skill's heavy attack hits a Stunned enemy, the Totalize effect is triggered, dealing 2250% of ATK as additional DMG. Upon activating this skill, the Stun duration of all currently Stunned enemies is extended by 3s. After landing the finishing move, the enemy's Stunned state ends.

Additional Ability: Glorious Legion

When another character in your squad is a Stun or Support character:
Pyrois' CRIT DMG increases by 40%.
Using a Chain Attack grants 300 Decibels.

Basic Attacks


Basic Attack: Emberglow

Press Basic Attack to activate:
Performs up to three attacks forward, dealing Ether DMG.

Basic Attack: Celestial Light

With 30 or more Solar Prominence, hold Basic Attack to activate:
Unleashes up to four attacks forward, dealing massive Ether DMG.
If another character is switched in during the 3rd hit, Pyrois automatically performs the 4th hit off-field.
Each hit consumes a certain amount of Solar Prominence.
Character is invulnerable during the 3rd and 4th hits.

Dodge Attacks


Dash Attack: Sunrise

Press Basic Attack during a dodge to activate:
Delivers a quick slash forward, dealing Ether DMG.

Dodge Counter: First Light

Press Basic Attack during a Perfect Dodge to activate:
Performs a forward spinning slash, dealing Ether DMG.
After using the skill and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, hold Basic Attack to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Assist


Quick Assist: Duskguard

When the active character is launched, press Switch to activate:
Launches a series of attacks against the target, dealing Ether DMG.
After using the skill and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, hold Basic Attack to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Defensive Assist: Ironhide Behemoth

When the on-field character is about to be attacked, press Switch to activate:
Parries the enemy's attack, dealing massive Daze.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Assist Follow-Up: Return to Daylight

Press Basic Attack after a Defensive Assist to activate:
Performs a forward thrust attack, dealing Ether DMG.
After using the skill and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, press or hold Basic Attack to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Special Attacks


Special Attack: Fading Rays

Press Special Attack to activate:
Performs a rush attack, dealing Ether DMG.

EX Special Attack: Sun's Halo

With enough Energy, press EX Special Attack to activate:
Quickly charges forward and performs a series of consecutive attacks, dealing massive Ether DMG.
If hit by an enemy attack during the charge, triggers a Perfect Block effect, nullifying the damage and increasing the move's Interrupt Level to that of a Heavy Defensive Assist.
After using the skill and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, hold Basic Attack to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Special Attack: Assault Directive

When an Ultimate or EX Special Attack: Sun's Halo is used, Phaethon performs an assist attack, dealing Ether DMG. This effect can trigger once every 2.5s, and is guaranteed to trigger when using an Ultimate.

Chain Attacks


Chain Attack: Ceremonial March

When a Chain Attack is triggered, select the character to activate:
Performs a coordinated attack with Phaethon, dealing massive Ether DMG.
After using the skill and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, press or hold Basic Attack to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Ultimate: Total Annihilation

When Decibel Rating is at or above Blasting, press Ultimate Attack and select the upper branch to activate:
After charging, performs a downward slash, dealing massive Ether DMG.
After using the skill and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, press or hold Basic Attack to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Ultimate: Triumphant Return

When Decibel Rating is at or above Blasting, press Ultimate Attack and select the lower branch to activate:
Releases an energy burst in the surrounding area, dealing massive Ether DMG.
After using the skill and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, hold Basic Attack to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Ultimate: Unbound Swordstorm

When Decibel Rating is at or above Blasting, press Ultimate Attack and select the left branch to activate:
Unleashes consecutive attacks forward, dealing massive Ether DMG.
After using the skill and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, hold Basic Attack to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Ultimate: Eternal Imprisonment

When Decibel Rating is at or above Blasting, press Ultimate Attack and select the right branch to activate:
Gathers energy ahead before unleashing a Finishing Move, dealing massive Ether DMG.
After using the skill and with 30 or more Solar Prominence, hold Basic Attack to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Celestial Light.
Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Pyrois's Mindscapes

Shadows of Twilight Past

Upon entering the battlefield, Pyrois gains 1,000 Decibels, and CRIT Rate increases by 8%.

Blazing Cavalry

Using Ultimate: Triumphant Return grants 1,500 Decibels. This effect can trigger once every 180s. Pyrois's Decibel limit increases by 1,000.
