Seth Lowell is an A-Rank Electric Defense Agent in Zenless Zone Zero. Seth Specializes in providing a Shield Buff to Allies, and buffing the Anomaly Proficiency of his shielded allies.

Seth Lowell belongs to the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team faction, with Zhu Yuan, Jane Doe, and Qingyi.

How to Pull Seth

Seth Lowell can be obtained on the Jane Doe exclusive channel. After the banner is gone, he will be obtainable at a regular rate from all Channels, excluding the Bangboo Channel.

Basic Attack: Lightning Strike

Press to activate:

Unleashes up to 4 attacks in front, dealing Physical DMG and Electric DMG.

Consume 75% Resolve to launch consecutive attacks in front, followed by a Finishing Move, dealing Electric DMG.

When the Finishing Move hits an enemy, it triggers the Quick Assist of the squad member positioned before Seth.

Anti-interrupt level is increased while using this skill.

Press to activate:

A quick dash dodge. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Dodge Counter: Retreat to Advance

Press during a Perfect Dodge to activate:

When the on-field character is launched, press to activate:

Unleash a quick downward slash on enemies in front, dealing Electric DMG.

Defensive Assist: Thundershield

When the on-field character is about to be attacked, press to activate:

Parries the enemy's attack, dealing massive Daze.

Assist Follow-Up: Public Security Ruling

Press after a Defensive Assist to activate:

Launch a forward thrust attack, followed by two horizontal slashes, dealing Electric DMG.

When the skill hits an enemy, it triggers the Quick Assist of the squad member positioned before Seth.

After activating the move, hold to transition to EX Special Attack: Thunder Shield Rush – High Voltage and charge faster. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Hold to charge the move, and Seth will dash forward, unleashing a series of powerful slashes, dealing massive Electric DMG.

Activating the move accumulates 75% Resolve. Anti-Interrupt level is increased while charging this skill, and damage taken is reduced by 40%. Seth is invulnerable during the consecutive slashes.

Ultimate: Justice Prevails

When Decibel Rating is at Maximum, press to activate:

Launch a series of upward attacks in front, followed by a Finishing Move, dealing massive Electric DMG.

Activating the move accumulates 75% Resolve, and grants 3 additional Assists Points.

After the move, hold to chain into EX Special Attack: Thunder Shield Rush – High Voltage, enabling faster charging. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Skill Description
Core Passive: Protector

When Seth uses his EX Special Attack: Thunder Shield Rush – High Voltage, he gains a Shield of Firm Resolve equal to 40% of his initial ATK, up to a max of 3000 points, and lasting 25s. This effect can trigger once every 10s.

When Basic Attack: Lightning Strike – Electrified or Assist Follow-Up: Public Security Ruling triggers a Quick Assist or Chain Attack, causing another squad member to enter the field, that squad member gains a Shield of Firm Resolve equal to 40% of Seth's initial ATK, up to a max of 3000 points, and lasting 25s. This can be triggered once every 10s.

Having a Shield of Firm Resolve increases Anomaly Proficiency by 50.

Additional Ability: High Spirit

When another character in your squad shares the same Attribute or Faction:

When Seth's Chain Attack: Final Judgement or Finishing Move during Basic Attack: Lightning Strike – Electrified hits an enemy, the target's Anomaly Buildup RES to all Attributes is reduced by 20%, lasting 20s.

Seth's Best Mindscapes

Seth's first Mimndscape is definitely worth getting as it increases the efficiency of the Shield he provides, as well as a boost to the Anomaly Proficiency provided by his Core Passive. His M2 is interesting if you are looking for more Electric Anomaly Buildup, and his M6 is interesting if you manage to get it, as it provides guaranteed CRIT Rate and increased CRIT DMG, but it is not absolutely needed.

M1 Heroism The shield value provided by Shield of Firm Resolve and its maximum limit is increased by 30%. When Shield of Firm Resolve ends, the Anomaly Proficiency increase provided by Core Passive: Protector lasts an additional 10s.
M2 Recklessness of Youth Upon entering battle, Seth immediately gains 75% Resolve. Hitting an enemy with Basic Attack: Lightning Strike – Electrified increases the move's accumulated Electric Anomaly Buildup by 35%.
M3 Slow Reflexes Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2.
M4 Core Aspiration The Daze caused by Defensive Assist: Thundershield is increased by 25%.

How to Play Seth Lowell

Seth Lowell is a Defensive character. While this speciality is still quite unknown, as the only other defensive character is Ben Bigger, Seth is more focused on providing a Shield and anomaly buff to allies, as well as triggered quick assist with his teammates and dealing Electric DMG, rather then counters like Ben.

Seth Lowell's abilities are rather straight forward. He will provide a good amount of anomaly damage build-up with his Electric shield, and if you position your DPS right before Seth, when the quick assist is triggered through his Basic attack or Assist Follow-up the lead will be given back to the DPS who can smash the enemies thanks to the anomaly debuff.

To make the most out of Seth's kit, you will want to charge Seth's Resolve to the maximum to trigger his combos.

You can increase your resolve by 75% through the Ex Special Attack, Chain Attack, and Ultimate Attack. A defensive Assist will increase the resolve by 25% only.

Seth will also provide a Shield Buff to Allies. This Shield will be based on Seth's ATK, so make sure to build up as much attack as possible on Seth. The shield will provide allies an anomaly proficiency buff.

The shield is rather easy to have constantly up, which makes Seth a very good anomaly support. if he is played with a faction or similar element member, he will also decrease the enemy's Anomaly Buildup resistance.

Seth's BiS W-Engine is the new A-Rank W-Engine called PeaceKeeper-Specialized. This W-Engine has 25% ATK and 624 Base ATK, so ideal stats for Seth. The w-engine also increases the equipper's Energy Regen while shielded, and the anomaly build up of EX Special Attacks and Assist Follow-ups is increased by 36%, making it the best W-Engine for Seth.

The battle pass W-Engine Spring Embrace is an adapted weapon for Seth as it provides some ATK % and damage reduction.

For the F2P players who do not have the Battle Pass weapon, you can use Bunny Band or [Identity] Base, which are two efficient W-Engines.

Seth's best Drive Discs is Hormone Punk, providing increased Attack % and another Attack boost upon entering combat or switching in. Swing Jazz can also be a good 4 piece option for energy regeneration, if you don't have Hormone Punk. His best stat to focus on is ATK %, as his shield scales of his Attack %, and as substats, some more ATK. If you have his M6, you can focus on some CRIT DMG.

Bangboo Information

The Criminal Investigation Special Response Team specific Bangboo, Officer CuiOfficer Cui, is the best Bangboo if you run Seth with other faction Members.

If you don't have Officer Cui, you can use PlugbooPlugboo or PaperbooPaperboo, providing respectively Electric or Defensive buffs.

A similar option as A-Rank Bangboo is the ElectrobooElectroboo or MagnetibooMagnetiboo.

If you are looking for a support type Bangboo, ExplorebooExploreboo or AvocabooAvocaboo are viable options, as they provide small buffs or healing to the team.

Seth Lowell Team Comps and Synergy

The Disorder team is a good choice for Seth Lowell as it will play around building as much Anomaly as possible to trigger the Disorder effect. As Grace Howard and Jane Doe are both Anomaly agents, this would be a very efficient team. Seth is an amazing support for Jane Doe, and since they are from the same faction, Seth would also decrease the enemies Anomaly buildup res, allowing Jane to hit even harder.

If you don't have Grace you can use Alexandrina Sebastiane, and if you are looking for a more free to play team, you can replace Jane with Piper Wheel and Grace with Lucy.

The Criminal Investigation Special Response Team team will benefit from Seth's Shields. Zhu Yuan and Qingyi are both rather close range fighters, and will definitely benefit from the shields Seth can provide. On top of this, Seth is not an agent who needs a long on-field time, which allows the other two members to spent more time on-field while having an extra protection always active.
