What is The Simulated Battle Trial in Zenless Zone Zero?

The Simulated Battle Trial, also known as Endless Tower is difficult endgame content where players progress through floors of increasing difficulty to obtain rewards. Every 5 floors until floor 25 provides healing and allows you to entirely change your roster.

After floor 25, you unlock Endless stages which do not heal your characters every 5 floors. There are an infinite number of floors however only the first 30 provide rewards. This helps to provide a difficult challenge for players to see how high they can go.

Who Is The Best Character in The Simulated Battle Trial?

With the Simulated Battle Trial having a focus on survivability, the best character by far that you could possibly have is Caesar King who brings incredibly potent shielding and ATK buffs making her a great asset on every floor.

In a similar vein, Seth Lowell is generally a useful character too due to the shielding he provides allowing you to not loose HP while being attacked.

Simulated Battle Trial Best Team Compositions

Your team compositions for each stage should factor in both the enemies weaknesses and resistances although depending on the characters you have, this may not always be possible.

Players unlock the ability to add more Agents to their line-up as they progress through each floor. Floor 11 is where it becomes possible to have 6 Agents in the line-up effectively allowing you to run 2 entirely different squads.

This allows you to plan out how you can use your characters for example, Floor 11-15 wants Fire Agents but if you do not have many, it would be best to save them for the boss and use another team for Floors 11-14.

Endless Tower Recommendations

Once you complete the first 25 floors, you unlock the Endless Tower. This allows you to go as far as your skills are able to take you. This has no rewards and is simply for the challenge of things however managing to complete floor 100 will unlock a special cutscene.

You do not heal every 5 floors after a boss fight anymore, and there are no checkpoints so any damage you take can be brutal. Once you get past floor 55 however, you have seen everything the game currently has to throw at you difficulty-wise meaning if your team can complete floor 55 easily, you can go forever.

In the endless Tower, you have 9 slots which allows you to put the 3 strongest teams you have available. It is important not to overlap the elements of your DPS so that you have coverage for every boss.

Check our Tier List to see which characters are currently the strongest!
