What is the Mystery of Arpeggio Fault Event?

The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault Event is linked to a new Rogue-like gameplay mode in Hollow Zero. With the mode itself being split into 5 chapters, each with multiple floors of randomly generated areas waiting to be explored.

1.2.

How do you Participate in Mystery of Arpeggio Fault Event?

You need to complete the Qualification Assessment: Edge in Hollow Zero to have access to the event.

Head to Scott's Outpost and talk to Roland to learn more details! He will teach you that the Arpeggio Fault is a deep ravine on the edges of Hollow Zero with unstable gravity and a large volume of floating land masses. It is also a shortcut to the old capital, so the main goal of exploring is to build an observation station inside the area.

Proxy's role will be to enter the Arpeggio Fault and retrieve monster data.

Soldier 11 will be your Chaperon for this mission, together with a bunch of Bangboo!

Head to the Hollow Zero, and enter the Mystery of Arpeggio Fault game mode. There is a total of 5 areas to explore.

The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault Mode

In this game mode, you will have to explore multiple floors. The objective of the mission is to explore as far down the Arpeggio Fault as possible and reach the bottom. Pressure and Corruption will also not affect your exploration, and the squad will accumulate Experience that you can use to enhance your Formation Strategy abilities. Experience is earned when defeating enemies by bumping into their TV's. When you reach 100 EXP, you gain a sub-strategy that will depend on your chosen Formation Strategy.

You can also get Crimson Silk to upgrade your tech-tree, providing permanent buffs.

Combat is done directly on the monitors.

You can choose between hoose between Normal Mode and Challenging Mode when entering The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault stages. In Challenging Mode, Crimson Silk acquisition is increases by 50%, Agents cannot be recruited, Tech Tree effect trigger rates are halved, and enemy stats are slightly enhanced.

Fault Surface Prep Area

Head through the TV's, defeat the enemies, and pick up the various objects such as the Purple-Red Crimson Silk used to upgrade the Tech Tree outside of the game.

The first floor is very easy, just head straight in front of you and defeat the enemies, it is the tutorial floor.

The layout of the next floors seems to be randomised each time you enter a floor, but here are a few things you can look out for in the Prep Area:

The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault Bombs
  • Pick up the bombs when you see some.
  • Bombs can destroy any type of wall, but make sure to detonate them wisely, as they will be limited.
  • Pick up any boxes, object, and most important the Crimson Silk and Keys.
  • Use the keys wisely as well. They spawn randomly on each floor, and can open various doors.
  • Look out for the Fruit Peeler Resonia, as it will allow you to open doors with 1 Gear coin instead of Keys.
2.2.

Fault Surface Shallows

You will be able to choose a support agent. At the start only Anby Demara is available. As you advance in your explorations, you will obtain more contribution points, and you will be able to take more agents with you.
