W-Engine Channel Signal Search Banner Guide in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ)
Conduct Signal Searches to receive Limited-Time W-Engines in Zenless Zone Zero! Check out our W-Engine Channel Guide for a basic overview of the W-Engine Channel and its drop rates.
Signal Search: W-Engine Channel

The W-Engine Channel is a limited-time channel where players have a higher rate of obtaining specific A-Rank or Limited S-Rank Signals. The Signals with a higher Reception Rate are W-Engines. The limited S-Rank Signals are only available on a specific W-Engine Channel, so if players miss the limited-time period, they may try getting the limited S-Rank Signal again on its next Channel appearance.
Please Note: You cannot obtain any S-Rank Agents on the W-Engine Channel.
You can exchange 1 Encrypted Master Tape to conduct a Single Signal Search, or exchange 10 Encrypted Master Tape for 10 Signal Searches.
What is the Current W-Engine Channel Banner?

For Version 1.6, the current W-Engine Channel Banners are:
- The "Dissonant Sonata" Channel, featuring a new limited-time -Rank Signal: Severed Innocence! This new W-Engine, specialized for Attack Agents, is the signature W-Engine for Soldier 0 - Anby.
- The "Vibrant Resonance" Channel, featuring a returning limited-time -Rank Signal: Flamemaker Shaker! This W-Engine, specialized for Anomaly Agents, is the signature W-Engine for Burnice White.
Both W-Engine Channels feature the same rate-up -Rank Signals: Box Cutter and Big Cylinder. Box Cutter is currently exclusive to the W-Engine Channel Banners and will be added to the Stable Channel after the Limited-Time Banners for the first half end.
What are the upcoming W-Engine Channel Banners?
Version 1.6 Phase will release on April 2nd, 2025 (Server Time). Both Spectral Gaze, the signature W-Engine for Trigger, and Riot Suppressor Mark VI will release in the second half of the Version.
In the upcoming Version 1.7, players can expect to see the Signature W-Engines for two new Agents: Vivian and Hugo Vlad.
For more information, check out the Current Banner Overview page.
Please note: As with any future Channel Banners, current information is subject to change.
W-Engine Channel Pity and Gacha Rates
The W-Engine Channel increases the rate of the featured A-Rank and S-Rank W-Engines. Whenever you receive an A-Rank or S-Rank W-Engine, there is a 75% chance of recruiting the featured W-Engine on the Channel. If the player fails to receive the featured W-Engine, the following will occur:
- If the player received a Non-Featured Signal, it will be one of the Signals from the Stable Channel.
- Their next A-Rank or S-Rank W-Engine is guaranteed to be one of the featured on the W-Engine Channel.
The Signal Searches on the Exclusive Channel and W-Engine Channel are accumulated separately from each other. This means that you cannot use your Signal Searches from the Exclusive Channel to progress towards a Signal Guarantee on the W-Engine Channel, and vice versa. Based on the cumulative Signal Searches done on the W-Engine Channel, the game will provide the following bonuses listed below:
Number of Cumulative Searches | Search Bonus |
---|---|
10 | A-Rank or higher Signal guaranteed! |
80 | S-Rank Signal guaranteed! |
Please Note: the W-Engine Channel will provide a guaranteed S-Rank Signal at 80 Searches. It is highly advised that players save up the appropriate amount of Encrypted Master Tape. The maximum amount that players should save is 160 Encrypted Master Tape for the W-Engine Channel's limited-time S-Rank Signal.
If you receive an S-Rank Signal at any time, either before or at the guaranteed amount, your cumulative Searches for that specific Channel will reset back to 0. Your cumulative Searches and S-Rank Guarantee (if applicable) will carry over to the next respective Limited-Time Channel.
