The Rustbolt Resistance Reputation and Rewards Guide in Battle for Azeroth (BfA 8.3)
The Rustbolt Resistance are a neutral faction released in Patch 8.2 — Rize Of Azshara. You will be mainly leveling this reputation within the Mechagon zone.
Revered with this faction is a component of Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part Two,
which allows flying in Kul Tiras, Zandalar, Mechagon,
and Nazjatar.
In this guide, we will go through the different ways for you to gain reputation to reach exalted and the various rewards you can earn.
How To Gain Reputation with Rustbolt Resistance
In order for players to begin gaining reputation with the Rustbolt Resistance faction, they will need to complete the Mechagon questline up to Welcome to the Resistance. This will unlock daily quests and world quests in Mechagon. Players can also gain reputation from killing rares around Mechagon and completing pet battles. Note that you can only gain reputation from pet battles and rares for the first time you defeat them.
Zone Events
World Quests
Unlike Nazjatar, Mechagon will feature only two world quests each day. Players that are max level will need to complete Uniting Kul Tiras for Alliance or Uniting Zandalar for Horde before being able to access them.
The first world quest, before any buffs are considered, will reward 850 reputation and will changes its goals every day, always requiring players to complete Mechagon content, such as looting zone chests or killing rares.
The second world quest will reward 75 reputation and a small amount of spare parts, and will normally require players to finish one of the elite pet battles to complete it.
Daily Quests
Players will have the chance to participate in a series of daily quests that take place all over Mechagon, which reward you with reputation.
Rebuilding the Spider Tank
Once players unlock daily quests, they will be given access to a questline that will involve rebuilding their own spider tank mount. Starting with the Shop Project quest, players will have access to a quest that aids in rebuilding the mount. Every quest that is completed in the questline will award the player with 75 reputation. In total, players need to spend approximately 12 days completing daily quests before obtaining the Spider Tank mount and will have obtained 900 reputation with the faction.
Pet Battles
Players can complete a total of 8 elite pet battles that they can challenge at any time. When players defeat each pet battle for the first time, they will be awarded a quest item that will grant them an additional 75 reputation, for a total 2000 reputation.
Contracts
Players who obtain Contract: Rustbolt Resistance will be rewarded with
10 bonus reputation with the faction when they are completing world quests in
either Kul Tiras or Zandalar. The only requirement for contract use is to be
friendly with the faction you are choosing the contract for.
Rare Spawns
Players will find that the rare spawns in Mechagon
follow the template that Argus followed. There are a total of 36 rares which spawn
across the island of Mechagon and can be killed once per day for loot. Players who
kill a rare for the first time will be awarded 75 reputation with the faction. When
players kill every rare in Mechagon for the first time, they will be awarded a total
of 2,700 reputation and the Rest In Pistons achievement.
Mechagon Junkyard Tinkering
With Junkyard Tinkering in Mechagon,
you can craft a Rustbolt Resistance Insignia (it costs 1
S.P.A.R.E. Crate),
to give you +100 reputation with the Rustbolt Resistance.
Rewards
Players will want to seek out Stolen Royal Vendorbot, which can be located around 74,47 in Rustbolt on Mechagon.
Take note that all the essences listed only cost a minor fraction of the displayed materials (or none at all if the original cost was 1) when they are off-spec essences, which means you have bought one of the essences of the corresponding rank before already.
