Recruit-A-Friend Guide for World of Warcraft
This page goes over the process of the Recruit-a-Friend system in World of Warcraft, which helps you level up faster, detailing the possible rewards, as well as how to obtain the rewards when playing solo.
RAF's 50% Experience Bonus
The biggest reason to use the Recruit a Friend system is that both you and your recruited friend will gain a 50% XP Bonus from all sources while playing together. On this page, we describe how it works, what the other rewards are, and how you can make use of it.
How Does Recruit A Friend Work in World of Warcraft
The Recruit A Friend system is designed to reward players for building WoW's playerbase by inviting their friends to play the game. There are benefits for both parties.
You can access the Recruit A Friend system via the in-game store menu. Using this system, you can send an email link to friends, and if they enable a subscription via your link, both of you will get rewards.
You can invite up to 10 friends via this system. The rewards cannot be duplicated, although they can be achieved more quickly if you have multiple friends subscribing at once.

Recruit A Friend rewards are based on how many months' worth of subscription that your friend(s) have signed up for after using your Recruit A Friend invitation.
These rewards work regardless if the same person has subscribed for 12 months, or if 3 different people have subscripted for 4 months each, for example.
Aside from these material rewards, whenever you are grouped up with and playing with your invited friend, you both gain 50% increased XP from all sources, and you also unlock an ability that lets you summon each other every 30 minutes.
After the 12 months are up, you also gain a free 30 days of Game Time every 3 months thereafter, indefinitely while your friend remains subscribed.
Recruit A Friend Rewards for the Invited Friend
Whenever you are grouped up with and playing with the person who invited you, you both gain 50% increased XP from all sources, and you also unlock an ability that lets you summon each other every 30 minutes.
How to Get Recruit A Friend Rewards Solo?
It is possible to benefit from Recruit A Friend rewards alone by simply inviting yourself on a separate email and thus Battle.net account and enabling a subscription there.
You could also benefit from the 50% XP Bonus for Solo Leveling by having two WoW clients open, and inviting another character to your party. You will have to haul the additional character around with you, however, which can be a pain if you do not have a two-seater mount, but the huge XP bonus is worth the hassle.
