Mechanic Breakdown (Normal/Heroic)
Bursting Pustules (Raid DoT):
- At the start of each mechanic cycle the boss will channel this ability which grants them 3 stacks of
Rotting Pustules. - This increases damage done to the raid over time and acts as the soft enrage of the fight.
- At the start of each mechanic cycle the boss will channel this ability which grants them 3 stacks of
Putrid Fist (Tank Swap):
- A simple tank swap where you swap after each cast.
- This will knock the tank in the air and increase their damage taken for 14 seconds (preventing you from taking two in a row).
Awaken Fungi (Add Spawn):
- Green circles will spawn around the room indicating where adds will spawn.
- When the adds spawn any players inside of these circles will be knocked away and take a large amount of damage.
- Shroomlings will spawn and fixate on players. Drag these under the boss and AoE them.
- Heroic: Sporecaps - A new add from
Awaken Fungi (Add Spawn):
- A single blue circle will spawn around the room indicating where the Sporecap will spawn.
- The Sporecap does not move so Tanks will need to move the boss to it.
- Instead of bringing all of the Shroomlings to the boss, bring it to the Sporecap instead.
- Interrupt
Poison Burst to prevent a raid wipe.
The below two images represent how the raid would move for the add management.
- When the adds are spawning ensure you are not standing inside any of the circles.
- For Heroic pay close attention to where the Blue Circle is as that will be your stack spot.
- Kill all of the adds where you decide to stack. Do not kill adds early or out of position as this will make killing the Bursting Shrooms (100 Energy Ability) harder.
Festering Vines (Vine Circles):
- Several players will have a large green circle around them indicating that they are targeted by this mechanic.
- These players will be slowed and will leave a Permanent area denial when it explodes.
- Move to the edge of the arena to minimise the impact of the area denial.
Fungal Bloom 100 Energy Ability (Revive adds):
- After two cycles of adds all of the corpses of the adds defeated will turn into Bursting Shrooms.
- You will have 16 seconds to kill them again.
- Each add which is left alive at the end of this cast will deal raid wide damage.
- You can survive 1 or 2 of these, any more will lead to a wipe.
- If you stacked all of the adds together before killing them this should be easy to manage.

Quick TLDR Guide
- Avoid the spawning adds (big blue and green circles).
- Drag adds to the boss (they fixate on players).
- Run away with
Festering Vines to the edge of the room. - Tanks: Swap after each
Putrid Fist cast. - Heroic: Interrupt
Poison Burst from Sporecaps.

Mythic Changes and Tips
Mythic introduces two notable changes.
- Mythic: Funglings - A new add from
Awaken Fungi (Add Spawn):
- These are similar to Shroomlings. They fixate on a random player and need to be killed.
Cross Fertilization (Keep adds apart):
- Shroomling and Fungling corpses must be at least 10 yards apart from each other.
- If they are within 10 yards a Doom Shroom will spawn and wipe the raid.
- To handle this the below raid plan illustrates an example of how to handle the adds.
- Handling the adds/Mythic strategy:
- When your first add set spawns you move towards the Sporecap (Blue Circle)
- Kill Shroomlings on one side of it and Funglings on the other side.
- For the second add set kill the Shroomlings and the Funglings in the same positions and keep the Sporecap interrupted.
- Once the adds are dead, kill the Sporecap and drag the boss back to the corpse clump.
- During
Fungal Bloom (100 Energy) focus on killing all of the Shroomling and Fungling mushrooms in one big AoE clump and leave the one Sporecap alone. - You will be hit by one
Bursting Shroom but this can easily be survived by stacking together and using a personal or
Anti-Magic Zone.
